“Always a pleasure”
Reviewed 28 November 2011

We have stayed at the Residence Inn numerous times and this past Thanksgiving was as good as usual. We had a room on the parking lot side so it was away from the freeway and quiet. Breakfast was available each day and was good and filling. We had a small issue with our thermostat which created a chilly room one night but it was taken care of quickly the next day. We don't travel with pets but we noticed that many people did. Not once did we hear a dog bark, either they were very good dogs or the rooms with pets are well seperated. The staff employees were great to deal with and just talk with sometimes. The room was kept very clean and we thought the price was fair being that it was a holiday week. There are many restaurants nearby as well as the Maine Mall. Coffee was available all day and night and was always fresh. It does have a nice indoor pool area as well as a basketball court outside.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 320, very quiet and away from the freeway. Choose parking lot side if you can.

Very nice hotel. They need to pay a little more attention to the details in the rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. So close to Portland without having to pay extra to be in the city! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others Just make sure the chatty front desk programs your key right the first time (or even the second time).

We arrived early and got into the room immediately. Booked a studio and it was the perfect size on the 2nd floor at the end of the hallway and near the stairs. The room was clean, had a good size kitchen, lots of seating and very good lighting. It was quiet. Mattress was very good as were the pillows. Had asked for additional towels, but didn't get them. BreaKfast the next morning was also good.
Cons: Breakfast was from 7-10, but the "omelet man" closed at 9:30. No mention was made at check-in aboutr that. We also had the misfortune of having a workman enter our room with a master key and no warning 5 min. after we were in our room. He hadn't checked with the front desk to see if they had filled the room, and they failed to tell him they had. It was quite a scare to find a man in the living room.

Very comfortable bed, extremely clean, and quiet. I did not eat the breakfast, but it looked like a typical hotel breakfast;bagels, waffles, eggs. I would have no problem staying here again.

Good location. Near the highway leading quickly to many locations. Food store across the street making it easy to use the kitchen or outdoor grill. Indoor pool, needed in Maine.Breakfast daily and something made week nights for dinner. We have been there a few times and it is always clean. We had a newly remodeled room, 2 burner cook top, stainless appliances and granite counters have been added. There are a lot of chain dining options near by but stick with the local options for better food especially seafood.

The hotel is perfectly clean with spotless rooms. Breakfast is plentiful and very good. The location is great for getting off and on the highway and for shopping. The staff for the most part are awesome although a couple of them are a little more abrupt than what you'd expect but anyone can have an off night. Overall though I'd definitely stay there many times and I'd have no problem recommending it to others.
