The magic of Migis hits you when you're sunning on a float after a swim or skimming across the water on water skis. You feel 7 years old without a care in the world at summer camp. Except the food is delicious and you can drink as an adult.
Great business model as activities are included in the expensive nightly rate. Guests don't have to sign out kayaks, canoes, paddle boards or sailboats. There's no release forms to sign or specific times to return equipment. Just grab and go.
A word about the Rustic Accommodations: its a bit dated and shabby. There's no body lotion and the other bath amenities smell like harsh cleaner. Its rather a shock considering what you're paying but I'm assuming the all-you-can-eat food costs suck up most of the take.
The downside (for me) is that this is a Family Resort. Read: tons of kids everywhere. They're running rampant like banchees because parents are on vacation, too. This means they'll bash into your shins to get to the cookies before you and cut in line when you're waiting to waterski. Not a great romantic getaway for child free couples like us.
I would worship Migis if they had Adults Only week or a No-Children-Under-12 week. If that's scheduled, I'm in.
Please note two weird things: they Do Not accept credit cards and a 15% service fee will be added, like it or not.More
