this hotel is pretty basic, clean, nice, in a good part of town. during the night, someone across the hall from us had a police call! loud knocking, police yelling, it woke me up and i just cound no get back to sleep. i told the front desk about it in the morning and they gave us a huge discount on the room, even though they were in no way at fault. erin was super nice, helped us find a good place to eat. there is no smoking in the hotel, but right across the parking lot is a patio, with chairs and ashtrays. my fellow traveler smokes and really liked the fact there was a nice place to sit and smoke. the hotel was just fine, but the staff made it worth going back to.

This is a nice hotel in a nice area for a good price. The rooms are clean and comfortable-and quiet; Great restaurants are within a short drive, which is nice when tired. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was excellent, but the dining area was too small to accommodate the number of people using it. This should be addressed as some people were upset at having to stand and eat-can't blame them.

My fiance and I stayed at this property shortly before Christmas. We thought a night away would be nice to get some rest and relaxation and have always been pleased with the Choice Hotels. This hotel needs some updating but the staff were friendly and the room was clean, which is more than I can say about some other hotels we have stayed at. It was very late when we arrived and their parking lot was a sheet of ice but, thankfully, we did not fall. Finding the entrance, as silly as it seems, was a little bit difficult as it was not lit. We may, if in the area, stay here again.

as we checked in the desk clerk, Erin was overwhelmed by a full house, however she did a great job at handling it and was very nice and helpful. She sure could have used help and maybe even two more staff. The hotel is ok nothing fancy but clean. our AC was POOR..being from Florida I understand Maine may not need them much but it should be replaced. Erin said IF she had another room she would be happy to change it out but it was FULL, ball teams, tennis teams and many others. Breakfast was normal, liked it but don't be late...they locked others out right at closing time. They were most helpful in multiple runs to the airport as our luggage came in on a later flight..fyi the hotel van did not have a driver but they called and paid for the cab trips

My wife & I stayed here in order to catch an early flight the next day and thus avoid getting up at 3AM to drive down. Check in was friendly & efficient. The room though could use some improving. The recliner fabric was worn & soiled so it wasn't inviting to sit in. The bathroom uses a split design, tub/toilet behind a door while the sink is in the room. A sign instructs you to keep the door closed while showering so one doesn't set off the smoke detector, which is right outside the door--a rather poor design.

I've spent 50+ nights in hotels this past year and the most important thing a hotel has to offer is a good night's sleep. That's what hotels are all about but this Comfort Inn comes up short. When you roll over at night you hear a crinkly plastic sound. The pillows feel as though they are filled with styrofoam peanuts. The curtains let in so much light it seems like you've left a light on.

On the plus side you get a relatively quiet room with a frig, microwave & usual amenities. It's close to the airport without plane noise & restaurants are a short drive away. Breakfast looked like a typical hotel spread--nothing you'd want to pay for--so we ate elsewhere. For the money we will NOT utilize this hotel again as there are many other choices in the area.

Room Tip: Stay away from large groups' rooms - they're noiser.
