We stayed on the 5th floor of the Marriott at Sable Oaks for two nights with our four-year old. The hotel was clean and comfortable, though our view was of the parking lot. The room had two double beds, a desk, and a TV. The room wasn't large but it was adequate and nicely furnished. There were four pillows on each bed, which turned out to be a good thing because they were very soft and squished down to almost nothing when you put your head on them. On the second day, our room hadn't been cleaned when we came back at 3:00 for our daughter's nap, but the housekeeper said she would clean it when we left again at 4:45, and everything looked neat and tidy when we came back later that night. The front desk staff seemed friendly and very eager to help out each time we walked by, even though we didn't usually require their assistance. We ate breakfast in the restaurant on the last morning, with most of our party opting for the breakfast buffet. There were plenty of options and our waitress encouraged us to go back for more food. We didn't get a chance to visit the pool. The hotel location was very convenient - close to the mall, the interstate, and a short drive to downtown Portland. We did hear some early morning jet noise from the airport nearby, but it wasn't enough to keep us awake.

Hotel was a six story Marriott located close to airport & shopping.
Easy access to highway. Very nice rooms but our view facing the back parking lot was undesirable. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were very accommodating. The Spa, Pool & Exercise Center were very nice.

Depending on what you're looking for, I became aware of a Brand New Marriott Courtyard located down by the waterfront right in the heart of all the seaport action.
Was not aware of this Marriott as it opened after our bookings. But we were just passing through for a one night stay.

Room Tip: Get a room facing front of hotel, NOT the back.

We returned to the hotel for a one night stay on our way through Portland. Though I have reviewed this hotel previously, I wanted to take the opportunity mention the outstanding service we received from the desk clerk Ben.

We are Marriott Platinum members and Ben upgraded our room without being asked -- and as it was a weekend and the Concierge Lounge was closed, immediately gave us the coupon for breakfast in the dining room.

Yes, the hotel is a bit dated and needs a freshening up, but one has a tendency to overlook that a bit when treated so well by the staff.

This is my 2nd stay at this great hotel at the perfect location. Check in was easy and friendly.

Wonderful staff who is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located near major highways but not too close to deal with any traffic. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by. Rooms were very clean and specious (stayed in room 659)

I would stay here again when I am in the area.

Hotel is great EXCEPT for the pool. Pool has soooo much chlorine that one cannot WALK into the pool area, let alone swim in it. Rooms are nice. Staff is super accommodating. But if you want the highlight...go to the Restaurant. Fire and Water. WOW Food is incredible and service friendly and amazing. NEVER had bad meal or service here! When we come to town and the "typical restaurants have lines, waits, etc....I am ALWAYS so happy to remember Marriott!" Never a wait. ALWAYS amazing food!!

Room Tip: Any room is super. I've never had a bad room. never had a noisy room. All is good here.
