Lovely Inn with comfortable rooms and attentive staff. Don and Javier have a warm and inviting place that feels homey and charming. Breakfast was yummy, staff accommodating and the porch where I sat for breakfast just the right spot to view the surroundings. The few nights I spent were perfect for the work I had to get done and a great launching spot to discover Acadia.

We have been staying with Don and Javier for all six years we have been vacationing in Maine. Started with three days and now spend 7 days at Harbour Cottage Inn. Love the Downeaster, having breakfast ( very healthy )each morning on the porch or just setting on the porch each evening relaxing after biking around Acadia National Park.
Our hosts have become great friends. Next year we are considering staying in one of the cottages or the Carriage house. Love the location

We spent one week here and enjoyed it so much. Our room was quite comfortable with a king size bed. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The best part is that Don is so knowledgeable about restaurants, what are the best hikes for our needs and other suggestions. He is very sweet and personable. We at definitely happy we stayed here and will come back again.

Acadia is spectacularly beautiful, and there is no better place to rest after days of hiking than Don and Javier's Inn. The inn is historic and perfectly maintained. Breakfast was delicious, with special attention to fresh ingredients. We especially enjoyed the vanilla buckwheat pancakes with fresh fruit, served by a friendly staff. Every day Don gave us great tips for hiking- complete with maps, where to eat—he was right on with all recommendations! This is where you want to stay if you want to relax, enjoy the view, have completely gracious hosts and a breakfast that will get you started.

Room Tip: Top floor suite provided beautiful room with light and comfy bed for my husband and I and another twin room for our young son and nana. Accomodations were perfect.
