We bought this timeshare with the intention of trading it, but we have so much fun here, we never trade! The property is well located on the "quiet" side of Mount Desert Island, where natural beauty abounds. We never run out of things to do. We ride bikes on the carriage trails of Acadia National Park, play golf nearby, hike and hike and hike, and of course, eat lobster and relax with our coffee on our deck at Harbor Ridge. Our unit is always sparkling clean and well maintained.

This is my sister's Time Share, but we frequently get to use it.

The resort is in a secluded location accessible to most of Acadia National Park. Resort staff was helpful and pointed us in the direction of a number of good local restaurants.

We had the obligatory visits to the National Park (always excellent) and took a ferry to Great Cranberry Isle and Little Cranberry Isle to really get to a quiet place.

Unless you are enjoy "urban sprawl, you cannot go wrong here.

Quiet location just above Southwest Harbor; a short drive from Bar Harbor & National Park entrances with a courteous & helpful staff
We had a three floor, one bedroom unit with a deck on every level & view of the water

Room Tip: All the units appeared to be the same design with either one or two bedrooms(one bedroom unit had a hot tub on the 1st floor as opposed to beds)

Neat and clean! Activities planned throughout the week at the clubhouse was nice too. Of course, the view of the harbor was amazing. Just fair warning, be aware of children/people on bicycles around the parking lots. Bicycling is popular in the area. Overall, our honeymoon experience was great!

Room Tip: The higher the room/floor, the better the view!

My parents are owners at Harbor Ridge and were staying there for a week, August 9-16, so my husband and I joined them for three nights. The unit was great, plenty of space, very clean and an easy walk to downtown Southwest Harbor. Overall, it was very quiet and peaceful, yet a quick ride to Acadia for the beautiful sights. My one complaint are the leaky windows and Harbor Ridge's response to them. The first night we were there it rained really hard. My husband and I had placed our cellphones to charge on the window ledge of the lower level bedroom. The windows were locked up tight but rain leaked in from above and soaked our phones. The ringer/vibrate switch no longer works on my iphone so the phone is stuck on vibrate. We tried the phone in rice trick to no avail. The next morning my father spoke with the woman at the front desk and her response was that 'yes, they know the windows leak and they'll be replaced in November', and her response regarding the damaged iphone, 'it will dry out'. Had there been a sign indicating the windows leak in heavy rain, my phone would never have been placed on the ledge and therefore never damaged. I don't expect anything from Harbor Ridge, I just wish they had taken some responsibility for the leaky windows and simply warned their guests. The fact that they are very aware of the problem and did nothing to notify guests is what bothers me the most.

Thank you for taking the time to review our resort. It is unfortunate that your phone was damaged. I apologize for how our staff handled your concern.

Harbor Ridge has had an ongoing problem with leaky windows during wind driven rainstorms due to a design flaw at the time of construction. Owners have been notified through newsletters about the problem, and we have continued to update owners regarding the progress to rectify the situation by replacing doors, windows, and siding. The resort has completed 32 of the 40 townhouses, with hopes to complete the project by the end of 2015.
