While this museum is small, it is nicely appointed and quaint. The exhibits are stunning and quite detailed. For anyone who loves nature or birds, this is a must. After walking through about 12 museums and botanical gardens over the course of a three week vacation, I found this to be a gem and quite refreshing. A nice stop while you are in the area. Allow about an hour, which includes a video of Mr. Gilley talking about his bird carving. The video is older now, but the conversation is dear. Also, take time to talk to the carver-in-residence, Steven. He is one-of-a-kind, almost literally. (The entrance fee is $5.)
