I stayed for 4 nights in August 2014 on a solo getaway trip and had a wonderful experience at Clark Point Inn. I enjoyed many chats with Jennifer and Mark, who were very hospitable and helpful with recommendations. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean; it was great to walk in to smell fresh linens rather than the usual hotel chemical cleaners smell. Every breakfast course I had was delicious and filling; the smell of coffee and breakfast cooking wafts up to the top floor and invites you down for a great start to the morning to enjoy the view from the sunroom.

The b&b is located on the quieter side of the island so you have peace and quiet at night, but still convenient to drive to and from all parts of Acadia National Park. I stayed on the 3rd floor, and while some guests have written that it does get warm; I was out during the day and it was nice and cozy to come back from chilly evenings to a warm room.

Definitely recommend Clark Point Inn. Thank you Mark and Jennifer!

My husband and I decided to stay here for our Anniversary. We spent 2 nights here. We had never been to Bar Harbor and didn't know what to expect. The innkeepers were very helpful and friendly and made the best gourmet breakfast's by far. The inn is in an older house but is kept up and modernized except some of the older furniture pcs. It is a comfortable inn and clean. We walked into town a few times not really a lot to do there. We also stayed in and played games on the enclosed porch as their is a selection available along with reading material and dvd's. I would recommend it if you are looking for rest and relaxation and no traffic. The water activities are a driving distance away as is hiking and biking. I think due to our active life style we will stay closer to Bar Harbor next time.

Room Tip: Room pictured is nice but shower is very small.

End of June 2014 spent a long wknd at this lovely B&B, Awesome innkeepers who are down to earth and we could tell that they truly love owning and running this inn. Breakfasts were creative and luscious! Spending our time with old friends for an entire day and coming back later in the evening, the fridge was stocked with iced tea and treats on the sideboard--chocolate chip cookies one night and whoopie pies the next. A restful and inviting room for our weekend. The harbor directly across the street gives you the immediate site of what the coast of Maine is all about. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You won't be disappointed staying here! Walking distance to the quaint downtown as well. We hope to be back but for a longer stay! Thanks Jennifer and Mark...Keep up what you are doing.....

We stayed at Clark Point Inn four years ago and decided to return this week. Can't believe it could be better than our first visit, but it was! Jennifer and Mark are beyond wonderful and their gourmet 3 - course breakfast is delicious and memorable. We looked forward to breakfast each morning. Our room was immaculate, comfortable and lovely. An enclosed sunroom was a surprise addition. After a day of exploring Acadia National Park, we looked forward to relaxing at the Clark Point Inn!

My husband and I stayed at Clark Point Inn on our honeymoon and it was amazing. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and had a great view of the Harbor. Breakfast was beyond delicious and in the afternoon freshly baked snacks were left out for our picking along with coffee or tea. The inn owners were so sweet and attentive. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back again

My husband and I love Mt Desert Island, Maine, at any time of year...but especially off-season! With Acadia National Park as a draw, millions of visitors invade the island in the summer. But off-season is magical. We had never stayed at The Clark Point Inn before, but we will Definitly return there! What a great find. Jennifer and Mark made us feel welcome immediatly. Our room on the top floor was cozy with a gas fire and windows over-looking Southwest Harbor. The breakfast...is to die for. Seriously, I have Never had such wonderful breakfasts at any inn before!! We enjoyed walking the snowy carriage trails on the island, had some lovely dinners at Sips in Southwest Harbor village...which is just a short walk from the inn, and just enjoyed our lovely room. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are lovely. Because it was a winter visit, we chose one with a gas fire!

Clark Point Inn Is a real treasure in Southwest Harbor. Its' location is excellent: very short walk to the lobster piers and into town.
The interior of the Inn is lovely with beautiful views of the harbor and comfort beyond belief.
Jennifer and Mark the owners and hosts are so friendly, knowledgable and very helpful with anything you need.
This was our second time there and if we could return every year we would! Winter was peaceful and pretty while fall was breathtaking.
Delightful experience you do not want to miss
