July 17 2010, we were married at the Inn. It was the owners first wedding, and you would have thought they had been at it for years. Everything went perfect. So if you are looking for a place to hold your ceremony and reception, try heree.
July 17, 2011- Returned to the Inn for our anniversay. What can i say. It was amazing. The owners Joann and Mike are wonderful. They have made this Inn theirs and it shows.
July 17 2012.................wonder where we will be .............. :)

My friends and I came up here for the night for a "Mustang Cruise." It was the most wonderful experience I have ever had a Bed and Breakfast. The owners knew that the room my boyfriend and I had reserved didn't have a view so they switched it for a comparable room with a view. Dinner was EXCELLENT! I would drive the 3.5 hours just to have dinner again. The "sunrise" was pretty...we only saw a bit of it because of the fog. The view was outstanding but wear bug spray if you go walking down the path. Breakfast was also decilious. My only complaint is the shower. They are small and I was either burning myself or freezing!

I can't wait to come back here!

For $25 per plate we got some obliterated halibut and little compensation for the ruined meal. At the very least a seaside restaurant should figure out how to prepare fish. The remaining aspects of the meal were uninspired. Lovely view, polite service, but you're better off at the fish fry shack. Dined there Aug. 2011 and will not go back.

We've stayed in other b&b's in the area on our biannual trips up to Bar Harbor from the Midwest. This place is very picturesque and charming. Joanne and Michael are laid back and friendly and they are dog friendly! And of course, not to go unmentioned was the unbelievable seafood a la grecque on the dinner menu..fantastic! It's a bit secluded which enhances the feel of the b&b atmosphere. Can't go wrong with this place!

We spent two nights at the Craignair, it was our first time there, and we literally fell in love with this place! We stayed in the older inn, the one closer to the water. The inn is beautiful and absolutely full of charm and nice details (without being an overbearing collection of dusty bric a bracs). Our room was very clean, nicely appointed, had a spotless bathroom and a comfortable bed, but the absolute winner was the view. We could catch both sunrise and sunset from our windows, it was quite spectacular.
The dining room is welcoming, spotless, charming and has beautiful views of the sea and the island.
Breakfast was very good, there was only one option (which was fine with us), but it was very well prepared and abundant. We also had dinner at the Craignair, which was fine, but not as good as breakfast.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and she seemed to be constantly at work to keep the inn clean and in great shape.
The grounds are beautiful, with nice chairs to watch the most perfect sunset on earth!
The location is simply fantastic, tucked away in a peaceful corner of coastal Maine! From the Inn, you can take beautiful walks to Clark Island, or drive to Port Clyde, a place we really loved because it is pretty but also authentic, with its fishing boats. We once dined at Miller lobster shack, a short drive from the Inn. Lobsters were good but expensive, but the location and view was pretty spectacular!
The Craignair has a unique rustic old Maine charm and is the perfect location for families, couples, solo travelers. We will definitely go there again and again and AGAIN!

The Craignair Inn is in a beautiful location right on the water. Spectacular views. The rooms are warm, welcoming and spotless! We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and each was better than the previous. Without question the best salmon I've ever had. Further stated, I'm not a fan of blueberry muffins, HOWEVER, I could have eaten a dozen of the freshly baked ones we had as part of our breakfast.

I can't find one single negative thing to say about the Craignair...it's a wonderful place to visit and I can't wait till I can go back again. Michael, Joanne, Simon and Mimi become part of your family...and Chris and Lisa already are :)

We stayed at the Craignair Inn for three nights and had a blast! Our first night we spent watching the sun go down with views of the Atlantic and views of Clark Island while having drinks on a lovely grass lawn. We then had dinner which was hard to chose from all the choices of seafood and steak. The mussels were fantastic and fresh. Our room had two windows with views out to the ocean and a bathroom that was light and airy with another window. Breakfast was great and there were homemade blueberry muffins, crepes and fresh fruit. Mike and Joanne, the innkeepers, are friendly and there is a casual home feel to the inn. The location is also great. It is just enough off the beaten bath that you feel like you have gotten away, but within 45 minutes there are two towns, Rockland and Camden, with lots of shops, restaurants and activities. The water is easily accessible for kayaks and lots of walking trails right from the inn. Our stay was great and memorable and we will definitely be back!
