Stayed a night (Feb 22) after a day at Sugarloaf, planning the next day at Saddleback. Room was comfortable, clean, washroom had lots of hot water. They even have Wifi and cable TV.
Restaurant and lounge on first floor had an extensive menu including a new favourite..."slow flying duck". Service was great, very friendly, food was good and in large portions. After staying here one time, this is where I'd go on a ski trip to SL, particularly when you here the ridiculous prices they ask for the lodging on the hill.

Room Tip: I stayed on the second floor and it was fine, but people with mobility issues might want to avoid th...

I went to Sugarloaf for a week and ate here EVERY night and its only a short drive from sugarloaf. Let's start with the awesome atmosphere of this place it is so relaxed, and laid back you can really enjoy it and relax unlike other places. Our waitress's name was Sandy ( note that she was the only waitress there) and was SO nice and polite and very funny! We tried different things every night, EVERYTHING was home made even the chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, hamburger buns, biscuits the list goes on. The pulled pork sandwich ( a special) was so good. The French fries, onion rings, curly fries, sweet potato fries, frings were all home made and the prices on everything were great. The desserts are heavenly! Peanut butter pie, mud pie, strawberry shortcake, pecan pie oh my word they were all delicious I highly recommend trying this place I don't think you'll ever find another place like it!

We live in Nova Scotia, and wanted to make the trip over to Sugaloaf (we are avid snowboarders) but didn't want to pay the (very high) resort prices. We didn't expect much, as the room only cost half the price as staying in the disappointing Valley Inn near Wentworth, NS, but were VERY pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, warm and comfortable, with a good bathroom (with plenty of hot water), the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent- both the breakfast and the dinners we ate there. We had no complaints and, with the resort only ten minutes away, it's a no-brainer. Great value, and we would highly recommend it, to stay or just to eat.

Our recent stay at the White Wolf Inn was very nice. Our room was well appointed with two nice comfy double beds, a nice updated bathroom, microwave, refrigerator and warm! The best part of staying at this inn is the restaurant located right downstairs. We came home from skiing, showered, rested an then just walked downstairs for an amazing meal of venison stew, turkey pot pie (yes they served the whole pie!)…and a scrumptious dessert of fried cheesecake with raspberry dipping sauce. Our hostess Susan was wonderful, making sure our every need was met. Wait staff was also very good. The next morning we had an early morning weekend breakfast with homemade bread. Our stay was simply delightful. Next time we ski the Loaf we are staying at the White Wolf Inn!

Look..the place is pretty basic. Nothing fancy. (The back is beautiful, but I think that is more for big parties?) And it's one of the few places in town so your choice is pretty limited anyway. Some of the food is pretty basic too, but the things that her and her workers gather from the land or buy local, or make---you can't go wrong! Her sauces, dressings, bread etc...yum! And she (the lady who is always behind the counter) is good people. Love hearing her and her friends' stories! Always an enjoyable trip! The kids enjoy drinking out of the special glasses. It's all good! We have been here multiple times and have always been satisfied. Her desserts are good too so save room!!

This is my first time here at this restaurant. The waitress was nice, but did not give us the right information when ordering a burger. Usually a waitress would help you figure out the best price when ordering additional items for a burger. When we were finally done and cashed out it was more then we expected, so we asked the waitress and she told us that since we order it a different way it cost more, and that she should have told us, but did not at the time of the order. My husband and I were pissed off and said that we would not come back.

Room Tip: Were did not stay there.
