My husband and I visited this pub again whilst in the area - again we were not disappointed. Large car park to rear of pub. Nice greeting on entering the pub and good selection of ales. As usual my husband always as the ham/egg and chips if on the menu - which it is here and I had the beer battered cod and chips.

We enjoyed our drinks - reading the papers and food arrived within 20 minutes. Very generous portions and I was taken back when mine arrived - 2 beer battered cods - with an explanation normally its a large cod but had run out so had 2 medium portions. Opted to leave the chips and enjoy the fish. A side salad is served with the ham/egg and chips and mushy peas with the cod.
Highly recommended for a relaxed lunch - cannot comment on evenings as only visited during the day and both times a Saturday.
Worth checking out their website as often they have live bands or bbqs.

Eat here recently one evening just on the off chance. The menu was typical pub food, steaks, gammon, chicken, curry, but it was well cooked and generous portions. The staff were friendly and chatty as were the locals, so all in all a good find.

Went here today with my wife for lunch using a Groupon Voucher
On arriving we both noticed the beautiful hanging baskets & troughs giving a bright & colourful welcome to the pub
The pub has printed a special Groupon menu showing the list of main meals available on the offer ( main course + beer or wine )
We both choose the Beer Battered Fish & Chips & were not disappointed, the meals arrived on a wooden board with the fish finely balanced on top of the chips, we never left a crumb it was that good !! Mine washed down with a cool pint of 6X
Would definitely recommend

Enjoyed a visit to this village pub using a voucher. Went as a party of 4. Lovely village in a rural part of Wiltshire where we were given a warm welcome and our table was waiting for us.
It was a simple meal freshly cooked and nicely presented. The menu was not extensive but plenty of dishes to choose from and able to satisfy the taste of most people. Plenty of choice for beers and drinks on tap. A lovely evening thankyou to all staff for making it so pleasant. I can thoroughly recommend a visit.

We came to the whitehart a couple of weeks ago with the family and it turned out to be a good choice .for starters children meals are free on a sunday which was a nice surprise and there is plenty of choice for them , friendly well presented staff who looked after our table really well , a nice selection of real ale and all the food came to the table hot with some very nice homemade Yorkshire puddings which accompanied my roast beef very well .All in all very good we will be back soon .
