My husband and I visited this pub again whilst in the area - again we were not disappointed. Large car park to rear of pub. Nice greeting on entering the pub and good selection of ales. As usual my husband always as the ham/egg and chips if on the menu - which it is here and I had the beer battered cod and chips.
We enjoyed our drinks - reading the papers and food arrived within 20 minutes. Very generous portions and I was taken back when mine arrived - 2 beer battered cods - with an explanation normally its a large cod but had run out so had 2 medium portions. Opted to leave the chips and enjoy the fish. A side salad is served with the ham/egg and chips and mushy peas with the cod.
Highly recommended for a relaxed lunch - cannot comment on evenings as only visited during the day and both times a Saturday.
Worth checking out their website as often they have live bands or bbqs.
