The Inn and the setting are beautiful, but the rooms vary dramatically depending on whether or not they have been refurbished. The linens are crisp and wonderful. The warmth experienced at similar inns is missing here. An attention to detail is lacking and response times to requests and reservations are slow. For instance, the doors from the dining room to the kitchen make a horrible jarring sound each time they are used, shaking the entire dining room. It is an easy fix, but seems to go unnoticed. There are not televisions in all the rooms, so you might inquire if it is a preference. The breakfast at the inn used to have wonderful sausage and bacon. The new brand is actually inedible. The traditional outpouring of hospitality is sorely lacking. The inn has all the makings of a wonderful place, but could benefit from trained hospitality staff.
