We camped right on the water, there were no buildings on the opposite shore, which was a real treat. We watched bald eagles and loons from our site. The grounds and buildings were well maintained. And security was the best we've encountered-- magnetic card entry. If you need sewer pump out be sure to schedule 48 hours in advance for the best price.
While the campsites are pretty level, the grounds are not. Be prepared to take on hills between beach, office, and shower house/restrooms. Planned activities on weekends. A loud dance kept us awake past 11 p.m. If you are traveling with kids you might want to find out what is on during your visit.
Lots of local folks of the over 50 category seem to stay for the summer.
