Dinner stop on the 19th did not disappoint and it just confirmed why this place is a coastal icon. We picked the chicken croquettes with a side salad and a turkey club with a side of fresh onion rings. The croquettes reminded my wife of her mom’s and my turkey club contained the real deal roast turkey. An excellent turkey club and it is at the top of my list. Those onions rings were deadly and when we are in the area again we will stop in. We were too full for dessert, but did have a piece of chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting packed to-go and it really hit the yum spot after we got home. It has always been and continues to be about family here and it shows.

We enjoy stopping at Moody's for good home cooked meals...good-sized portions at fairly reasonable prices. Last night, we had chicken croquettes and turkey pot pie, one of the daily specials. Both meals were comfort food at its best! The biscuits were delicious as was the slice of chocolate cream pie that we shared. (Moody's pies are outstanding.) Our server was excellent: friendly, attentive, and extremely nice. The atmosphere is casual and no-frills, and the restaurant is a favorite for locals and tourists alike. Moody's has been serving the public for decades and those of us who eat there frequently appreciate its reliable, simple, delicious food.

This place is a step back in time. Simple food that is delicious . I've had clam chowders all over New England and this is the absolute BEST ! Don't expect the real thick and gooey paste, but rather the real deal. Which really is all about the clams. If you visit, you will quickly see why they are also known for there pies. Expect to wait in line for a table most times of the day. It is well worth it.....that's why there is a line. If it's just you or your mate, head for the counter. This is a fun place so have fun if you've never been.
