Had both a lunch and a breakfast (different days) this week at Debs, our first time(s) there.
They close at 2:30 PM so allow for that at lunch time. Lunch was good, better than good, but breakfast was truly memorable:. 2 choices of home fries, infinite choices of omelletttes, muffins, home made breads ( cut thick), bottomless coffee refills, great service and lots of locals having their daily gatherings.
Having mistakenly left behind some possessions on our first visit, I was extremely pleased that the waitress (Deb;s daughter) had found them, and held on to them and returned all to us, no problem.
We recommend Debs to anyone driving early in the day on Route one, Waldoboro, for breakfast or lunch, you will not be disappointed.

We happened on Deb's as we drove up the coast and stopped in for lunch ordering through the walk-up window. I opted for a hot dog while my wife had a grilled cheese sandwich on house made wheat bread. The staff was very friendly and directed us to the picnic tables where we ended sitting. Both sandwiches were satisfactory and we were soon back on the road.

Driving out of Friendship Maine, Deb's Diner caught our eyes! It's appearance belies the extraordinariness of what's inside! From the outside it is one of those diners one rarely sees any more, at least in the big city, so we figured we'd get the basic two eggs and bacon, etc! Boy were we surprised! First it was hard to make a decision from among the many luscious sounding specialties: homemade (big, fluffy) cinnamon donuts, home-made cinnamon buns, muffins, or the big-as-your-plate blueberry pancakes redefine the perfect pancake. We didn't taste, but saw what looked like amazing corned beef hash and all are served with thick slices of homemade multi-grain toast! Deb is visible in the kitchen and you can just tell she is passionate about her kitchen and her service. Oh, and the price is so right, though it would be worth it at three times the price! The menu tells how Deb grew her business "organically" from just a small stand to a thriving and must-stop venue for anyone in mid-coast Maine! Mostly we loved her collection of signs the most memorable for us was: "EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO MY OPINION! Totally worth a visit!

I decided to stop because was lunch time and there were lots of locals in the small place. Food was excellent. Their clam chowder was unique. I had the crab roll. My wife just got a club sandwich with the home made bread. All the food was excellent. This is a non-frills place.

Deb's diner is a classic! All the atmosphere you'd expect from a roadside stop and it is obviously a neighborhood favorite. The daily home-cooked specials and homemade desserts are filling and flavorful, but the down-home hospitality and quirky personality of the place gives it its charm. Check out the bread slices on our sandwiches. And the chowder was creamy and "clam"y Don't miss Deb's if you want local color and personality. The friendly, chirpy waitress even lent me her Windex to clean the car windows!
