Our family of 5 has been staying here for years and are never dissatisfied. It's a home away from home and a great base for day trips to southern Maine and New Hampshire's seacoast. The staff are friendly and helpful and the property is well maintained.

We've been to VBTS several times at various times of the year and we can count on no problems with the condo, everything is in working order and we do not have to spend valuable vacation time begging staff to fix what has been broken. We tend to take long weekends instead of 1+ week stays. Every moment becomes important and valued. Aside from the weather, VBTS is a beautiful environment...neat, clean, pleasant...and I would recommend it to families as well as couples.

We had a great stay at Village By The Sea. The unit we stayed in was really clean, up-to-date and spacious, you can tell the owners care about their place. Close to the local restaurants and short drive to the beach. We spent some time at the indoor pool during a rainy day. Grills are available for everyone to use. I would recommend VBTS (and Room 12B) and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Room 12B was on the first level, but the room was very clean and up-to-date (comfortable King Size bed, not as comfortable Full Size bed, TV's in every room (3 rooms), Refrigerator, Dishwasher, washer and dryer, stove, and any cooking utensils you may need on a short stay). I would recommend this room to anyone.

We rented a two bedroom condo on top floor and found it to be as described.
The front desk staff was friendly and efficient.
The room was very large and well appointed and had everything we needed for a five night stay.
Housekeeping was good, although the windows in our unit were very dirty (streaky) and the screens on the windows needed to be cleaned as well.
The grounds were well maintained and the grille area was very, very clean.
There is no elevator and the climb to the top floor may be a bit much for some people. The hallways were not air conditioned and were VERY HOT, making the stair climb even more uncomfortable.
The balcony was large and fairly private although the adjacent trees on the nature preserve were large and blocked what could be a great view of the marsh toward the beach.
The location is great for everything we wanted to do.
I would definitely stay there again, but, would try to get a unit with a better view.

Had a wonderful stay. The hotel was central to several activities. The view was not as spectacular as expected from the location of our room but still had a wonderful trip. Had an issue with the room and it was solved without question. The accommodations were nice, spacious, and clean. Definitely will be back.

Room Tip: Don't forgot beach towels and chairs.
