This place was perfect! A few friends and I rented a cottage for a week and we had such an amazing and relaxing time. The cottage was comfortable and very clean. It is in a great location and the trolley stops right at the resort, so it made traveling very easy. For the days we didn't go to the beach, they have a very nice pool area, with plenty of tables and lounge chairs to lay out at! One of the best parts was the new ice cream parlor they have right on the property. Any time we wanted an ice cream, it was only a couple steps away. We loved it there and will definitely be coming back!

The new owners, in their 2nd year have brought this place back! We stayed in a cottage with 2 bedrooms. The place was immaculate and comfortable. The playground was in our front yard so we could watch the kids play while we enjoyed an adult beverage from our screened in porch. There are plenty of things to do in the area- mini golf, dining, beaches, arcades etc...but you really don't need to leave the Seahorse property-since there is a pool, horseshoe pits, BBQ grills, and an on site ice cream shop!

This is the kind of place that once you discover it, you'll be booking your stay for the next year before you check out!

I heard that new owners bought the resort and were renovating so we decided to get away for a night and stayed in a motel room. We then decided to come back and stay in a small cottage for a few days. By the end of last fall we were staying in the 2 bedroom cottage and didn't want to leave!!! This year we have our cottage booked for the Month of August. This is like the family vacation times I remember when growing up. So glad we gave the Seahorse a chance. Oh and bonus they opened an ice cream parlor on their property.

Last year my husband and I drove to Maine for a couple of days away from the stress of kids and work. We stopped at a nearby hotel it was awful we drove a little further and came across The Seahorse and stayed 2 days. They were in the middle of renovating but they were very respectful not to start to early. The room was very clean and comfortable. Iam very picky where I stay I have walked out of a lot of hotels but this one was wonderful they met all our needs and accomadated all our needs. We definitely will be back. I'm actually trying to plan a trip this July.

We can all forget at times what vacation means, if you have come to think of vacation as time to be with people you love, in a place that reflects and enhances the joy of sitting around being happy, Seahorse may be your place. I have stayed alone and felt comfortable and at ease, I have MS and have found the cottages and beautiful grounds easy to get around. Being able to have a morning and evening walk among the trees and walkways kept so clean and obstacle free makes this a true find.

My husband and I made a nice one day trip to Maine and stayed at the Seahorse Resort. We stayed in the motel section which the room was very nice, clean and well decorated. The grounds are very nice and inviting for a family. The new owners are wonderful people and are planning on continuing with the renovations. We plan on staying again next season!

Seahorse's new owners did a great job improving the place. The rooms and cottages are clean ans spacious. Kitchen well equipped with pots, pans, dishes and coffee maker (filters included). Grounds with amazing mature weeping willows. We stayed in cottage 71, 2 adults and 2 childrens, just in front of the very safe kids playground. We had a great week end.

Room Tip: Charcoal barbecue on site, no problems sharing with other parties.
