Just returned from a three night stay and can't wait to go back! The Seahorse offers a very clean, relaxing setting and the new owners are great. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. You've got to try the ice cream too! Delicious.

We wanted to stay the weekend at the last minute and after trying over 50 places we ended up only being able to book Sarurday night at the Seahorse. The owner Liz could not have been more helpful . She let us park in the Motel lot early in the morning and told us about the Wells trolly which for 1 dollar took us to Kennebunk, and Kennebunkport. The trolly stop was right in front of the motel. We had a great time and came back around 2 had some ice cream at their Seaberry Ice cream place next to the motel. What a surprise when it was Liz who also ran the Ice cream shop that day. When we got into the room it was clean and spacious. The location is great about a mile from the Maine diner and about 2 miles from Wells Beach. These new owners are really making a difference.

Rooms were very clean and the grounds were pretty with willow trees, lily pond, and a family of ducks. The only downside was the beds and pillows. The beds are very firm and the pillows were like pancakes. We actually bought our own pillows at Walmart. Otherwise not bad for the price.

The new owners of the Seahorse resort have done wonders to this property. We had a great time with family and friends and couldn't be happier with our stay at the Seahorse resort. My understanding is that this property was previously known as the Sleepytown and was not in very good condition with many bad reviews.

Everyones room was clean and upgraded with everything you one could ask for.
We met the new owners Bob & Liz and they gave us a quick tour of the grounds. The new owners and the whole staff are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. The upgrades and the work they have done to the property in their one year of ownership is just unbelievable.

I would highly recomend this resort for anyone looking for a clean and affordable place to stay for their vacation. This was one of the most relaxing vacation stay we have ever had and we will be making plans for a return trip shortly.

Thank you Bob & Liz and the staff of the Seahorse resort for pleasureable and enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for two years in a row back in the 90's when it was called Sleepytown. What a dump that used to be! The new owners bought this place a year ago and changed the name to Seahorse Resort and Cottages. What a huge difference!! We stayed in a 2-bedroom cottage for 5 nights at the end of July. It was so nice....renovated, old carpet replaced with a new one and the entire cottage repainted. They have put alot of work into renovating this place. It was a wonderful experience and Liz and her staff were incredibly friendly. My wife and I are planning to go back again before the end of August!! Since they are trying to re-build the clientele that Sleepytown lost, the prices are great too! Very good value and wonderful grounds with matured willow trees, a pool, lily-pad pond and a family of ducks wondering around. It really is a great place!!!
