I read some of the other reviews not sure what happened to them. We actually had a great stay rooms slight outdated with tvs and ac in one room but nice pool, tennis, and grills all free nice area trolley right at hotel. Overall had a great stay good rates.

Rooms were old but clean. Front desk was very unhelpful about the trolley etc. The girl said "oh I don't know when they come". Meanwhile the stop was right outside the office. I guess she doesn't look out the window. The free breakfast consisted of donuts, bagels, cereal, orange drink not juice and coffee flavored water. If you're a coffee drinker don't attempt to drink theirs. You will be disappointed. The pool was murky and full of bugs. The outdoor firepit and sitting area were its best feature. We were quietly relaxing with a fire after a long day at beach and a nice dinner out when one of the employees came up with a bucket of water and said sorry guys no fires after 11. He said we could still sit there but no fire. We got fire started at 1030 and Fire Marshall Bill extinguished it at 11. We will not be staying here again. For 129 a night you could do better elsewhere.

I have been staying here for the last 5 years ..Majestic has the lowest rates in the area ..In 2013 it changed ownership ..The New Owners have started updating the place and it will take time as this place is constantly booked ,,I stayed July 4th weekend 2014 and my King sized Bed Room was much improved over last year ..Freshly Painted, New Bathroom I was impressed ..All the guests were friendly as most sit outside their rooms and socialize ..Everyone stated this was the best bargain in the area and rooms were nice ..Everywhere else was close to $ 200 a night in the area so $ 109 is a Bargain ..That savings pays for my lunch and dinner ..You have the Ogunquit Trolley come right to the place ..The owners, Cleaning girls are so nice they will accommodate any of your needs ..You really only sleep and shower at hotels and off for the day ..I always have a great time here but you will always get people that complain about something ..

Room Tip: Pay the extra $ 10 for King Bed

Overall the place is basic and actually suited my needs fine. I stayed for several weeks while on a construction project near the beach.
While the property owner thought he was being comical, he decided to publicly comment on my sleep apnea related noises...enough said..I was pretty embarrassed and found other lodging.
If you are a perfect human in all aspects, you should do just fine here

I will agree with other reviewers on both the pros & cons of the Majestic. The cons are that it is an old roadside motel that has seen a lot of use. The rooms are a bit shabby and the amenities are sparse as far as fancy soaps and lotions. However, the pros far out weigh the cons as long as you know what you are getting into. This isn't a high-end property, but the rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. There is a microwave and fridge in the room. The location is perfect for either Wells or Ogunquit beaching. The trolleys stop in the driveway! The property has a large grassy area for kids to play, lots of grills, a firepit, tennis court, and a beautiful pool. The breakfast is not lavish, but they had CONDONS' DOUGHNUTS! That alone makes it a good breakfast - no waiting in line at the doughnut shop. The desk service was fine, they tried to help with any requests we had. The coffee, I agree, was just so-so, and decaf was instant, but overall - it was so convenient to be able to grab something without a hassle. I would highly recommend this to people with children - it would be a fun place for kids. Ask for a king room or suite if you don't want a pet friendly room.

Room Tip: if you don't want a pet friendly room - choose a king - the suiteon the second floor is very nice
