We enjoyed a lovely dinner here. Good food and service! It was recommended to us by the Inn Keepers at Wilson Lake Inn and it did not disappoint!

We ate there both nights we were in the area because the food was so good, and the restaurant is so comfortable and lovely. We shared the fried calamari appetizer both nights. The first night, I had a scallop special that was inventive and delicious, with some tart flavors and heirloom tomatoes. It came with a very generous side dish of pasta with marinara sauce. My husband had cheese ravioli which was excellent. The bread is outstanding, and it is served with herbed extra virgin olive oil. The second night, we both tried the pasta (marinara and Bolognese) which was very good, and comes with a small salad and a side of a fried roll with cheese. This roll was the only thing I did not care for: too oily and filling, and better suited as a bar snack than along with an already large dinner. Wine selections are limited but of good quality and fairly priced. Nice place!

We found this place by chance and saw it had a nice patio/deck overlooking a small river. We went in and service was good. I had a flatbread with fennel and blue cheese and my wife had seafood chowder that was great. It was really unexpected how good the soup was for a pizza place. Would recommend this place if you are in the area.

Food was outstanding, atmosphere was good, however service was less than desirable, in fact a really uncomfortable feeling that we were not welcome there. This is a local favorite and it was a fairly busy night. When we asked to be seated we were told that without reservations there were no tables available. We asked to be seated outside and told nothing was available there despite many tables being empty. So, we sat at the bar, it took a while to be served drinks and have our order taken. Meanwhile, another couple came in sat down at the bar at least 20 minutes after us and was served about 10 minutes before we were. To further add insult to injury, as we were leaving we noticed that the restaurant was still about half full and another party walked in and was asked if they had reservations. The woman answered a clear no, but they were immediately seated anyway. I'll go there again because I enjoyed the food and that's probably the only reason I'll return.

We just "dropped in" on a busy night on Labor Day weekend, and they were very accommodating. Good food and service in an interesting, historic building (the GH Bass shoe company!).
