Prepare To wait in line - we waited 1 hour and twenty minutes (on a Sunday). They open at 11:30, we got in line at noon and were the 66 th order of the day. But with that said it was definitely an experience and the owners have things down to a science. As we waited in line a very friendly young lady ( Anna ) came thru the line handing out cups and pouring ice water, later she came thru with a sampling of their fried shrimp which was delicious. We made the most if the line and took turns browsing shops. When our turn at the window arrived we received a friendly greeting and placed our order with one of the owners, she was a dee lite! The amount of lobster you get on your $18 roll is truly unbelievable, we got 4 and each ate one on the tailgate of our truck with a beeyah (no alcohol available at Reds) and took two to go ( which were packed for us with great care) we enjoyed the other two later that evening with a nice bottle of wine over looking the Harbor at our hotel in Boothbay Harbor. Make no mistake it is truly a shack but visiting this family owned and operated business is a tradition we will continue - we love supporting local business people when we travel. Those looking for fine dinning ... Drive on, those looking for excellent food in a picnic atmosphere get in line and enjoy the experience.
