The inn is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and inviting, the breakfasts delicious but best of all, the innkeepers, Melanie and Paul were perfect hosts. They saw to our every need and helped us plan each day's adventures. Wiscasset and the surrounding areas ooffered much to do, and we will definitely be going back next year and most likely every year thereafter

Room Tip: all the rooms are great, but the bathroom for one of the rooms is across the hall

We stayed here while on a road trip through VT, NH and Maine. Of the 3 B&B's we stayed at during this time, this one was the "whole package" of friendly hosts, beautiful Inn and chef-made breakfasts. Paul and Melanie were such welcoming innkeepers. They made you feel like you were special from the minute they helped you carry your bags in to the day they waved good-bye.
Thank you for making our stay in your beautiful area even more fun.

Room Tip: We had the White Falcon room which is on the first floor. Nice big room with king bed, fireplace, s...

Very lovely place. It has lots of character, hosts are very charming and breakfast is great. Perfect location if you are on your way to/from Acadia region and further. Don't worry about how busy the road it's on. We had a room facing this road and it was very quiet at night.

The inn was clean and comfortable, we stayed in the Queen Herald room, Paul/Melanie were very friendly. We were out in Portland which required us to check in late to the inn, we let them know well in advance and they were friendly and greeted us when we arrived at our car at 10:15. Paul helped us carry our bags in the inn and showed us to the tea/cookies (which were yummy). Everything was clean. The next day we woke up and at 8am Paul prepared a great breakfast (hot) and cold it was great, the fruit was excellent and the cream cheese buns were great! we also had great conversation with the other guests and Paul. Everyone was very friendly.

Thanks so much.

We stayed 2 nights with our children in the Windward suite. The inn is charming and the room is comfortable and well furnished. We all slept well. The breakfast is delicious, Paul cooks great eggs Benedict. Paul was also very helpful with information about places to see and local restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this B&B if you wish to travel in Maine.

We had a wonderful time at The Snow Squall. Six of us, my boyfriend and I and his two teenage children; and his father and step-mother took over the carriage house for three nights during our vacation, staying in the two-floor suites. The upper levels of both suites were perfect for the kids, allowing the adults a bit of privacy. The Snow Squall is beautifully decorated and extremely clean and neat. Paul and Melanie are perfect hosts. Paul shared some great, funny stories and both were very helpful in helping us plan things to do. And of course, the breakfasts were delectable. Our second morning, our itinerary had us leaving before breakfast service. Paul left fruit, yogurt and travel cups for coffee for us.

The only small (no pun intended) criticism is that the shower stalls in the carriage house rooms are kind of tight. It was challenging to wash hair and shave legs without constantly bumping elbows and so forth.

Wiscasset is a beautiful little town. There are plenty of cute boutiques and antiquing opportunities. Dining is somewhat limited, but Wiscasset boasts Red's Eats, which has great lobster rolls. We also had a fun dinner at Sarah's. From Wiscasset, it's only a short drive to Boothbay Harbor, which frankly, I liked better than Bar Harbor, which gets all the hype. Boothbay Harbor has lots of shopping and restaurants; and my boyfriend and his son were able to do a fishing charter.

We'd love to go back.
