Description: The approach to the Dockside Restaurant is all part of the Dockside’s charm. You are treated to views of the York River and the grand “summer cottages” as you turn onto Harris Island Road to reach Dockside Restaurant. The view is quintessential Maine, people hustling up and down the docks, gleaming yachts and colorful lobster boats in front of a rock and pine-tree shore. Dockside’s recent renovation is perfect, warm and comfortable. Hardwood floors, European style lighting floor to ceiling window and a new mahogany bar with an adjoining outdoor cocktail deck. During warm months seating is available on our harbor view screen porch. The atmosphere is casual but the food is serious. Chef Dennis la Planet has been recognized as a “chef’s chef”. North Atlantic seafood prepared with a northern Italian influence and aged steaks are just the start. Lunch features organic salads, creative sandwiches and traditional favorites; fish and chips, chowders and fried clams too.

We spent 3 days in Dockside B&B and we had a wonderful time. The place is outstanding, the house, the garden, the views. Breakfast was great and you felt so familiar you could think yu are at home! The restaurant with first class cooking and the bar for drinks was a great place to spent the rest of the evening having nice cocktail sprepared by "Peter". Congratulations and please go there if you have the chance you will love it!

We chose the Dockside for the view and close location. We were a party of 6 and had seats near the windows overlooking the harbor. While pricey, our meals were fantastic. The seafood was fresh and portions were fair. The presentation of food was impressive. The risotto may be the best I have ever had. If the Dockside was located in my town I would be a regular.

Just came back from eating at the Dockside Restaurant. The location is lovely by the harbor however, that does not make up for the terrible meal my family had there. Not just one bad appetizer or one bad dish but virtually everything. We had lobster bisque that was bitter and thick but not in a good creamy way. We had crab cakes with shredded up crab with a funky flavor. The grilled calamari was flavorless. Even the salads were soggy. The duck was almost inedibly dry and the Boulliabaise was awful. For $32 don't expect anything but tiny shrimp, tiny mussels, some fish pieces and a couple of small pieces of lobster in a salty yet flavorless broth. Don't go here. Why didn't I say Anything if it was so bad? My family would have been embarrassed!
