“Thank you, Austin!”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

This is one of those places that is probably an institution in town. It's super touristy, but in a homey way. The food was okay, arrived quickly and was hot. I had the blueberry pancakes and my husband had an omelet. Really, you can't ask for more -- especially given the volume of people they serve on a Saturday morning. Tables were turning at a good clip, despite the crowds.

Our waiter, Austin, was attentive and friendly. Thank you, Austin, for the good service.

“Good breakfast. That's about all I have to say.”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Finished a week long stay at a cottage rental, ate breakfast on a Sat morning before departing. Given the uber-touristy setup of the whole region in general, I was pleased to have (1) a reasonably priced breakfast (where I got what I paid for), and (2) a reasonable quality breakfast akin to a good breakfast joint back home. The breakfast isn't any different than the breakfast at a good place back home, but having both condition 1 and condition 2 met in a place where a lot of other restaurants fleece the tourists is quite astounding.

“A little downhill”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

Goldenrod has been a yearly breakfast spot of ours every August. The service is always good. This year we only went once during our week stay as the coffee was bitter and lukewarm and we were the first ones to arrive that Monday morning. Also there was no tea except for decaf. The food was typical breakfast fare and was warm and good.
