“Excellent room, quiet, close to restaurants”
Reviewed 7 September 2012 via mobile

Excellent location off Wisconsin. 3 blocks to metro-but beware escalators out- had to drag my luggage down steps. Very dark, humid metro station. Instead of paying $35 to go to Reagan airport- thought to save $30. Ick! Never again. Took an hour and I was hot and tired when I got the airport. Back to hotel. Very nice and helpful desk staff. Ate at restaurant and it wasn't great but nice fast service.m I like the pantry off the front desk. You can get lean cuisine to have in room, ice cream, snacks, etc. a bit pricey but on one night it was all I wanted. Rooms are huge. Ice in each floor. My room was very quiet. Nice toiletries and nice size shower with a high rain shower head. Big tv but some channels fuzzy. Big desk, free wifi. Would stay again.

I stayed here the other night for business. The Hilton is in walking distance to some very nice restaurants & only a block to the Metro.
The room was very clean and the mattress was nicer then the one I have at home. Now I need to get a new mattress.

The room was nice, but smelled like old socks. Most rooms I have stayed in usually smell a little until I run the air for a little while, but this room smelled for the entire weekend. Had I known that it would continue to smell, I would have requested a room change, but since I had already unpacked and I was never in the room that much, I settled. The front desk clerks were always helpful and arranged for a late check out to accomodate my work schedule. The bar in the lobby is nice and my bartender was very generous. Parking is more reasonable than other hotels in the area but the spaces are tight, if you drive in, bring your smaller car.

Visited this hotel with my husband and two other friends to visit DC. The location was great because we took the metro right into DC, only took about 20 mins. The place was clean, had a great complimentary breakfast buffet(including waffles, made to order omelets, etc), and a small but nice pool and hot tub. The staff was on point with their friendly, helpful attitudes and bringing anything you needed to the room. Only con was, me and hubby like our rooms cold and the AC only went down to 68...which was very cool. Also we hated their pillows but if you don't mind down pillows you're good! I would totally go back!

Stayed at HGI Bethesda for three nights touring colleges in the DC area and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We took a package including parking and breakfast (which I would recommend as it offers great value). Room was standard HGI, clean and comfortable; breakfast was good and service attentive. Hotel is just 2 blocks from Metro for quick trip to DC and right in the middle of downtown Bethesda with access to great food and entertainment. We will certainly consider this hotel again.

Locate in a quiet location despite access ti heart of Bethesda and a quick drive to city center with most shops and restraunts. Rooms in this high rise are all same chain feel. Check in was easy and lobby had bar area. Parking is $15 but WIFI is free. Value is relative to the area okay but seemed high relative to the chain.

We arrived in Bethesda just as a huge storm hit the area dropping power lines and generally creating chaos. The hotel power remained on but we were confined to the hotel for a while and it was comfortable.

The location of the hotel was great - a block away from the Bethesda Metro Station. Restaurants were a few blocks away and we thoroughly enjoyed the area.

The room was standard and the bed was comfortable. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.
