I selected this restaurant based on positive reviews and was satisfied with the food and overall value. However, I was slightly underwhelmed given the previous reviews. I had a combination chicken/lamb kebab and the meat was tender but lightly seasoned. The bread served as an appetizer was fine but somewhat dry.
The decor was unpretentious and comfortable but I was sitting at the bar area and noticed that I could see the raw meat in the glass cooler and the visible kitchen area left a lot to be desired.
The restaurant is very reasonably priced, especially for Bethesda. You can easily be full for $10-$15 per person and it beats the chains.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for solid middle eastern cuisine but given the many choices in the area, I still think it is a little overrated.
