Stayed in the 3rd floor upper bay suite. Includes bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, and deck with water views!! Would recommend this suite to any family with children!! Inn keepers are personable, breakfasts are great.

I have stayed at many B&Bs across the US - this one is not only beautiful, full of amazing antiques - but the hosts are so very sweet and hospitable.

Very clean, comfortable beds, yummy breakfast and a great little town.

I stayed for a weekend in February while I was taking a photography class down the street. The Inn is in a perfect location - a charming town on the water. The street is filled with antique shops and coastal Americana. I recommend staying here, not only because of the beauty of the Inn but also because of the kindness of the innkeepers. Bob and Carol are lovely and greet you with wonderful hospitality. Make sure you get some time to walk the house with Bob who can give you great detail on the home and on the incredible ceilings - all original. Bob is a chef and his breakfasts are delicious, sneak a peek into the kitchen to see some cool items they collect and items passed on by the previous owners.

I slept in the Snug room, the least expensive and smallest room in the Inn. I really loved it even if it was small. I liked the size of the bathroom. With a TV and high speed internet, the room was perfect for me. It was quaint and it had a view of the main street, the bed was very comfortable.

I think I rated everything at the best except for the sleep quality - and well it was just very cold, but that wasn't the Inn's fault. The heat worked fine – you just have to ask to keep it on all day for you if you don’t get back till late… February in Maryland can get very cold...

Overall – a great stay, great people and beautiful area. Thank you!

We had a super midweek getaway this week at the Inn at the Canal. This homey, Victorian Mansion is located in a town that time forgot adjacent to the interesting C&D canal, yet it is convenient to Phila, Baltimore, etc. What a terrific location.
The Innkeepers, Carol & Bob Roethke are warm and inviting people who make you feel completely at home. Bob, is a creative, talented chef, making breakfast a treat.
The rooms are comfy with bathroom, TV/DVD, A/C and are decorated tastefully with period furnishings including large four-poster beds. There are lots of covered porch spaces also.
Plenty of good restaurants and shops allow you to park your car and forget about it while you enjoy this quaint little town.

We are Philadelphians and on occasion need to just get away. This place is a convenient drive - maybe an hour and a half max.

The Inn at the Canal is a wonderful old home. It is the quintessential B & B. It is a beautiful old home that was converted. It is well kept and has a fascinating history. It is also along the canal which also offers interesting views of passing ships and barges. The bathrooms were clean, the bed was comfortable.

The owners are terrific. They treat you like family while leaving you alone as well. As a special bonus, one of the owners is a professional chef. Breakfast is great!

I usually don't take time to write these...so I am definitely impressed. All in all, a great experience. Well worth it.

The Inn is very quiet, authentic and beautiful. Has the charm of an old house (because it is!) yet modern conveniences. We couldn't get enough of the juice at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and appealing both to the eye and the palate. Very sleepy little town. Cute shops and hospitable shopkeepers.
