The people and the food are outstanding. We had their special salad (one was enough for two) and their special of the day, roasted rockfish (striped bass to non-Marylanders), with a crusting of crab imperial finished under the broiler, served on a bed of beautiful fresh spinach, with a pasta (your choice) on the side, all with a lemon butter. Perfectly prepared. At $57 for two, this was the best eating a at a moderate price. The wine was their suggestion, a light Italian while called Grillo Alceste. $20 for the bottle and crisp and light--great with the fish.
We are fish mavens. The chefs at Louisa's are as good as we have experienced at cooking fish.
There was lots of other great-sounding stuff on the menu. But we did not get to try it.
They are moving to new (more prominent) quarters Sept 30. We hope the food stays the same.
We hope to go back.
