We are in town boating on Still Pond (off Chesapeake Bay) and tried dinner at Luisa's in a strip mall. Meal was good and comparable to any restaurant in bigger city. We had kids lagasna, crispy but not greasy chicken wings, spagetti and scallops- all decent and nice helping size. Check out if you're in area- nicer inside than expected too.

“What a gem!”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

The people and the food are outstanding. We had their special salad (one was enough for two) and their special of the day, roasted rockfish (striped bass to non-Marylanders), with a crusting of crab imperial finished under the broiler, served on a bed of beautiful fresh spinach, with a pasta (your choice) on the side, all with a lemon butter. Perfectly prepared. At $57 for two, this was the best eating a at a moderate price. The wine was their suggestion, a light Italian while called Grillo Alceste. $20 for the bottle and crisp and light--great with the fish.

We are fish mavens. The chefs at Louisa's are as good as we have experienced at cooking fish.

There was lots of other great-sounding stuff on the menu. But we did not get to try it.

They are moving to new (more prominent) quarters Sept 30. We hope the food stays the same.

We hope to go back.

“Only place to find veal in this neck of the woods”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Their list of veal is great and the preparation is excellent. Have had several of the items and can recommend the veal piccata.

BTW the veal is from the local farm St Brigid's.

Have also had several of the daily specials (all were fish) that were excellent. If the weather is OK you can sit outside next to the herb garden and watch the basil grow.
