We stayed 2 nights at the Brampton Inn in Chestertown, MD, and our room was the Sunrise Cabin in early January of 2008. I highly recommend it for a lovely room, very beautifully decorated, well furnished, with wood burning fireplace and a modern private bathroom. The cottage is just behind the original house, so it's close enough to partake of all the house activities and amenities. But the cottage provides a much greater level of privacy which we enjoyed.

The original house is quite beautiful with grounds that should be lovely in the spring and summer. The service was wonderful and breakfast was more than you could eat. We had a wonderful time and would strongly recommend this B&B to all.

This is a lovely house and property. Everything was exactly right and the innkeeper, Rita, was very helpful and engaging. The food was superb, the decor was delightful.

We were given the name of the Brampton Inn by my brother and sister in law who stayed there a year ago and they were very pleased and impressed with their stay there. We booked a weekend there in the Sunrise Room for our 24th wedding anniversary. We were very, very pleased with both the accomadations, the staff, the food and the grounds. We were so pleased and impressed that we booked a weekend for our 25th wedding anniversary for 2009.

We were three couples who enjoyed a lovely, long New Years weekend at the Brampton Inn in Chestertown. The town was cute and the crab soup outstanding. The inn was lovely with well-appointed, romantic bedrooms with high ceilings. The Blue Room in particular had a great four poster and a working wood fireplace. The bathrooms are new and our shower featured multi-headed jets.

The breakfasts were perfect and generous.

Rita, the inn keeper was as pleasant and charming as you could hope.

We've been to many inns and this one is right up there.

Chestertown offers antique shops, reasonably priced good seafood, and local wildlife sanctuaries.

We had a wonderful long relaxing weekend at the Brampton Inn. We stayed in the private Russell Cottage because we brought our standard poodle with us. We loved the privacy and she loved running around the 20 acres.

Breakfasts were absolutely delicious - it is way more than a continental breakfast - in fact we never ate lunch because we had such a wonderful breakfast.

Every afternoon they serve tea and an appetizer - wine and beer are also available. We ate dinner at many local restaurants and returned to our room to a pre-made fire. They totally cater to your every need.

We had a king size bed with a down mattress cover and a down comforter, big fluffly towels - a most comfortable room!!!

We would definately go there again and I especially recommend it if you wish to bring a pet.
