We just got back from a three night stay at the inn! We were in Olivia's meadow which is in it's own little quaint but luxurious world of it's own! Very spacious and yummy, women will understand that description when they see it. There is an old fashioned porch swing by the front door, so cute but then a modern Japanese soaking tub in your screened in porch! Rita greeted us on Wednesday and was so accommodating and then Rachel was our go to person for the rest of our stay. The staff is very approachable and friendly. There is just something very peaceful about being around the farms and the water at the same time. We took a drive to kennedyville to visit crow farm for a wine tasting and that was a lot of fun! I guess you can tell , we were blessed to be there!

Quiet and beautiful setting. Grounds and gardens are well kept. Nothing formal or stuffy and the staff is helpful and pleasant, but not too overbearing. The cottages are more expensive but particlarly nice. We love staying here when visiting Chestertown.

If you do not arrive in time for the afternoon, tea the hostess will put samples of her SUPERB baked goods in your room for arrival. A historic estate with the main house and outbuilding guest rooms done in excellent taste. Fresh cookies, coffee, & tea available throughout the day. Expect great service, wonderful food and new found friends. We have been to too many places that have not measured up to the pictures and promises. It is good to have found a treasure that gives more than you expect.

Travelling from the United Kingdom, we were looking for a week's accommodation in the Chestertown area and, having done a bit of research and being most impressed with Rita's helpful and prompt communication with us, opted to stay at Brampton Inn. This proved to be a very good decision as, from the moment we stepped through the door until the moment of our departure, we were made to feel most welcome and could not find fault with any part of our stay. We did not arrive until midnight but were greeted by a very welcoming sight with lighting on and, by prior arrangement, a key left out with directions. The Proprietress Danielle warmly introduced herself to us the following morning and, from that moment on, we were left in no doubt that the staff would do their utmost to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. Breakfasts were spectacular and Lucas even managed to master the perfect cup of tea! Refreshments and home baking were made available throughout the day with an extra spread put out mid-afternoon. Our suite was extremely comfortable and the building is charming and gracious with beautiful grounds. One of the highlights for us was spending time on the large shaded porch, often having breakfast served to us on the porch and always ending our day sitting out there with a late night cup of coffee. Their attention to detail is superb - from their helpful restaurant "reviews" to the refrigerator made available to the guests - and their use of environmentally-friendly products was noted. We highly recommend Brampton Inn!

Room Tip: We stayed in Sophie's Suite and it was nice having the extra room. The view, although not as go...

Wow! There is peace in the valley...this lovely inn took me by complete surprise...you literally cannot make this place better. From the lemonade and tea cakes laid our for the afternoon, the decanter of sherry across from the endless cookie tray, the lovely decor of the main rooms and the fan-driven porches, to your lovely room and firm bed...why haven't I heard of this place before? All of the aforementioned is then overshadowed by a wonderful breakfast the next morning. Tara on the Chester! The Fairy Hill Suite was fab! The landscaping is remarkable as several of the trees are older than 150 years. Rita and the rest of the staff could not be more kind, creative, or helpful. One note - as the water is "Eastern Shore" water, bring bottled water to drink. I run a small business - this one is run perfectly I am bringing my "her" back this winter if only to accumulate credit should I mess up in the future.

Room Tip: Fairy Hill Suite í two levels with a fireplace and sitting room below the bedroom, a separate entran...

Supremely private, luxurious, lush garden cottage with decadent breakfasts delivered each morning makes for a remarkably romantic get-away. Nearby Chesterton is a quaint little town with cute stores and yummy restaurants, and area marinas offer sailing and sunset cruises. Best R&R trip ever!

My husband and I were returning South after a week in New York and wanted to stay in the Chesapeake Bay area in hopes of finding a spot that offered soft shell crabs (our favorite!). We read about the The Brampton Bed and Breakfast Inn on Tripadvisor and booked our stay. We were greeted by our hostess who had done a bit of R&D to determine which restaurants in the area would have these on their menu…very thoughtful of her. The property is remote but lush and beautiful. As we were only there for a quick one night stay, we reserved Sophie's Suite in the main building. It was on the second floor, was very cozy and clean with a very comfortable bed. It has a small sitting room with a television. Breakfast was nothing short of spectacular….delectable homemade blueberry muffins on the table when we sat down, followed by grilled pineapple and then a choice of traditional eggs and bacon, a large pancake topped with strawberries and one other selection that I cannot remember. We had the dining room to ourselves and felt like we were in our own home. We are not always keen on bed and breakfast properties but this one was simply lovely in every way! Only wished that we could have had the time to luxuriate on the lovely front porch and enjoy the view!

Room Tip: Sophie's Suite is at the top of the stairs in the front hallway of the main inn. There is no el...

The soft shell crab is a treat enjoyed during late spring and early summer. We are so glad you had a chance to enjoy them during the short period when they are available.
