We traveled to DC to attend a Science Fair and decided to stay in this hotel since we had a car and did not mind not staying closer to downtown. The place looks and feels very dated, but the service and cleanliness were great.

We stayed for 3 nights and had breakfast everyday at the hotel but did not return to hotel until night. Breakfast was very basic waffles, eggs, muffins, toast, grits or oatmeal, juice and coffee.

Our two queen beds room was enough for our family of four. Old TV but kids only watched it for a little while every night.

Room Tip: Make sure you wake up early for breakfast because it can get crowded.

We had numerous problems this trip, beginning with a cancelled reservation, then a very noisy room next door, malfunctioning air conditioning and toilet. However, we spoke to the manager and he gave us a refund. But if our next stay there has problems again, it will probably be our last.

This hotel was average for an overnight stay. It was very close to my destination in DC (Gallaudet University).

The area is a bit shady...I saw a few stranglers walking into the hotel. My mom kept saying they look like drug dealers.(Lol) She's so silly. They weren't, I hope. They just looked kind of suspicious. =/

The staff had trouble finding my reservation at first so that became annoying. Apparently they were in the mist of training or something... Anyway, the room was nice and large and clean. Very pleased with that. The layout of the hotel drove me crazy!! The entrance is considered the 2nd floor and all other floor numbers change because it's built on a slope or something. That was slightly frustrating.

The breakfast was, again, mediocre. I'm a vegetarian so there was only so much I could eat. My family on the other hand, are meat eaters, so they were craving breakfast meat, at which they didn't have any. The layout of the breakfast area was a bit tacky and sloppy.

Again, good for ONE night. It wasn't really close to anything. You needed to drive at least a mile up the street for shopping. It wasn't terribly long, just not walking distance.

The price was decent. We used LMT- Last Minute Travel site to book, so we booked at a very good rate.

I would stay there again, if I were on another business trip.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the parking lot...helps to keep an eye on your car. =/

Dear Amanda; Thank you for taking the time to share your trip with us. We appreciate the positive feedback for the cleanliness of the guest room and location being close to your destination. We are within 5 miles if not a bit closer actually to Gallaudet.

We appreciate your patience as we got you checked in, we understand it took a little bit longer than anticapated and apologize for the delay. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Thank you again for your review and for being our guests.
