Very pricey for what appeared to be a super market steak.
The staff were friendly and offered a glass of wine which we accepted.
I would certainly not order food here again it was highly disappointing and very overpriced.
Local pubs in the area offer much better produce for a lesser price.

Lovely pub. The staff and the locals are very friendly and the menu is really inventive. Just here and had one of the Tapas. Fried potato and Chorizo with spring onion and a fried egg on top. It was great! They do a great breakfast too.

Having just read the previous review, I feel it's a very unfair view of the establishment. The staff are very friendly, helpful and go above and beyond in general. In the world of hospitality its been a very challenging time with Covid restrictions, government impositions and ridiculously high business rates following that. If you have an issue with staff you should address it at the time rather than attempt to ruin the reputation of a local business. Personally, this is the main reason I genuinely dislike platforms like this. However, I will actively encourage my family and friends to visit all of the named establishments and ask them to review them accordingly

This is the 3rd time we have been. Wasn't given a particularly warm welcome which has been repeated from previous visits. We asked for one cider and was given another. The two bar boys were very surly and not friendly at all. Being locals, we won't be back and will suggest to other locals not to bother with this place. Shame as the building is beautiful and food has been good. We will go to the Rising Sun, Unicorn or Crooked billet instead.

Room tip: I wouldnt bother, the Crooked billet, Rising Sun and the Unicorn are far nicer

Lovely English eccentric pub decor with loads of comfy corners in which to relax. Amazing food served from a busy kitchen and obviously hugely popular with the locals. Fantastic beer garden with plenty of seating and an ideal place to base yourself for the Regatta.

Room tip: Take your time driving hereabout
