Dear Michael S,
Thank you for being a guest of ours during your trip to the Washington Metropolitan Area, we are so happy that we are your "GO TO for your business needs, we are also glad that we are able to take care of you when you come to stay with us.
The hotel is located right on exit 25, I -495 beltway for easy access to anywhere in the area. The University of Maryland is about 2 miles away as is a metro station if you do not have transportation, the shuttle will take you there. The parking lot is very big and was full for the four days we stayed , so be prepare to walk a little to the hotel.Ikea is right next to the hotel, along with some restaurants and fast food places very close by.The hotel is very old but the housekeeping staff on the 4th floor did a outstanding job keeping our room very clean. The common areas of the hotel are very clean as well. The vending / ice areas are hot and old as are elevators and the 4th floor ice machine did not work. Overall a pleasant stay, nothing to rave about, basic clean hotel in a outstanding location.I received an outstanding rate through Priceline and for the that price I recommend but the Holiday Inn rates may be a little over priced for this older hotel but the location is outstanding.

The front desk supervisor, Kylea, was wonderful. She was able to rearrange my reservations to accommodate my family. The hotel is a little old but the friendly staff made up for it. Even thought there isn't a complementary breakfast, the next door restaurant was good. Overall we had a great experience.

We stayed there from June 15-19 for the National History Day competition being held at UMD. They were very well prepared for the all the families and kids and the shuttle service was GREAT! They staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean though the bed was a little stiff and uncomfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet was good. I would definitely stay there again.
Dear Julie C,

I truly had a great experience in the holiday Inn, whenever an issue came up (for example an abandoned kid who was crying for 20 minutes looking for his parents) the staff dealt with it expediently and professionally. They answered all my concerns immediately and to my full satisfaction. I specifically want to acknowledge the services of our shuttle driver Keith. His professional conduct and easy going nature made the shuttle trips exceptionally enjoyable . His tips about getting around helped us as foreign tourists navigate our destinations. Keith you definitely were an unexpected highlight to our trip.

Stayed at this hotel June 22-27, 2014 for business. Have stayed here several times in the past.
Pros: Different attitude among employees. During this visit I could notice all employees being a lot friendlier. I don't recall a “good morning” or “good afternoon” being part of the staff vocabulary in past stays. This has changed. Everybody in the front desk was always very helpful when asked for assistance. Hotel is very close to the Greenbelt Metro Station. The hotel shuttle will take you there. From that station you can take the green line to Washington, DC. It’s about a 25 min ride. There is a restaurant in the hotel which provides an excellent, complete breakfast (buffet) at a very reasonable price (~$10.00). There is a Dunkin Donuts, Japanese restaurant, sandwich place, yogurt place, Chipotle within a 4-minute walk from the hotel. There is an IKEA store within a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The pool is indoors with a lifeguard (not a common sight these days). Ample free parking.
Cons: Wireless service in rooms is somewhat slow but not unbearable.
Thank you kindly for your review! We do appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback and we are pleased to hear that you had such a great stay. We are working to improve our warless service and do apologize for any inconvenience.
