Excellent service and great pizza that is handmade with a thin crust, if they suggest a medium and there are only two of you, get a small, it is huge.

Our family makes it a point to try pizza most places we adventure to, which means we have had a lot of pizza and Ledo's is now one of the toppers on our A+ list. Really distinct crust and sweeter red sauce. Our family of six with kids ages 15,13,9 and 7 devoured a large and medium, plus a Fat Tire for mom and dad and got out of there for about $50. We recommend it!

I have been eating Ledos Pizza for 50 years . I loved the pizza back then and still do today. The pizza is great tasting at any of their locations.

The owners moved from the original location to this one, close to the University of Maryland. The place has lost some of its charm, but the pizza is the same. Thin crust, sweet red sauce, and good toppings. It's a local hangout after college games, so service can be great or slow. Noisy most of the time. Lots of televisions, but not obtrusive. It's now a chain, and I find better consistency and quality at this location than others.

We've been going to the original Ledo's for over 40+ years which includes their old location in Adelphi, Maryland, and the new location in College Park, Maryland. The food and service in Adelphi was generally good. The service and food at the College Park location has continually declined to the point where we will never return. Today (3.16.14), was the last straw. We ordered spaghetti with meat sauce & meat balls and a side of garlic bread for $4.00. The restaurant was practically empty but we waited over 10 minutes for a server who stopped by our table and said he'd be back. So, we waited even longer for service. When he finally returned, we ordered our food which comes with a salad (if that's what you want to call it). I wouldn't feed this limp, bland salad to a rabbit. The lettuce was brown and wilted. There were a few sliced cherry tomatoes. That's all folks! Don't expect shredded carrots, radishes, cucumbers or anything else in your salad. The salad dressing is very tasty but what good does it do poured on top if a pile of wilted lettuce? Our server started bringing beverages to other patrons that arrived long after us. I flagged down our server and asked about our spaghetti. He said, “Oh it should be ready shortly.” (This is over 1/2-hour after we placed our order). By that time, our side of garlic bread (several pieces) was cold. I brought this to the server's attention. His reply was, "Oh, you don't want the garlic bread? I replied, "Yes, but not cold garlic bread." So, he took away the garlic bread. We waited another 15 minutes and finally our spaghetti was served -- cold! The spaghetti sauce is prepared ahead of time and is kept warm in a large pot on the stove in the kitchen. It only takes a few minutes to boil the spaghetti noodles. What happened was that our derelict server left our food in the kitchen until it got cold then brought it to our table. There was one piece of garlic bread on both our plates which was submerged under the spaghetti sauce. Seriously? Our server never bothered to replace the side of garlic bread we ordered. That was it! We left Ledo's and I told our so-called server on the way out why we’re leaving and that we would never return to Ledo’s. He could have cared less. There have been numerous other times we patronized Ledo's when the restaurant was nearly empty and waited an inordinate amount of time for service and mediocre food. To think that Ledo's prices are relatively high for what you get. We could go elsewhere and get much better food which includes a decent salad and side dishes for a lesser price. The crab soup is a joke! It's a small cup of cold Campbell's vegetable soup with a couple microscopic strings of backfin crabmeat for $6.50! You have got to be kidding me! Don't expect bread or side dishes with your entree. You either get a wilted salad or one side dish such as instant mashed potatoes. What a joke! The ambiance of the new location in College Park is like eating in an unfinished warehouse. The crowd is mostly students from the University of Maryland. The management’s mindset is that college kids are more interested in drinking beer and eating pizza and don’t care about anything else so far as the restaurant and food. Not true for mature folks as us. During the cold winter months, there was no heat in Ledo’s for several weeks! Plus, there was no sign on the door stating the restaurant had no heat. We froze our bottoms off at Ledo's. The server's said their hands were turning blue they were so cold. Is that any way for management to treat their employees and customers? We are so done with Ledo's!
