“Take it from a Japanese man, best sushi in the area”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

Disregard the old reviews for this retaurant because that was under different management. The food here is great. Service, excellent. Everytime I visit the retaurant I am greeted like a family member rather than a stranger. The food here is always fresh and the view of the lake is a nice touch. Do not pass up this Sushi place when in the area. You will not regret it.

“Hands down the best sushi anywhere”
Reviewed 31 October 2011

I've eaten sushi all over the globe and Sushi Sono is my all time favorite. I've eaten at a couple of places that we're comparable, but never one that was better. If you love sushi and great service, this is the place for you!

“Incredible Sushi in a Great Location - My Go To”
Reviewed 14 August 2011

have tried many sushi restaurants, throughout Maryland and several other states, and this has always been and remains my favorite. The rolls are inventive, high quality, fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The service is always spot on and the atmosphere and ambiance can't be beat (lakefront). The edamame are perfectly cooked (most of the time, the mushroom soup with lemongrass is awesome, especially on a cold day, and the seaweed salad is fantastic (it seems as though they increased the portion for this and have now spruced it up by putting it on leaf lettuce). The agedofu is flavorful and the tuna appetizer is plentiful and fresh. Favorite rolls to order are: No 12 (OUT OF THIS WORLD) with tuna, shrimp, and tempura; Bridal Veil - lobster and tuna; Lobster w/Asparagus, and Yasai Maki - sweet potato, mushroom, avocado, and seaweed (great non-fish option). While their special roll list is not super expansive, they have a great variety, unlike many places that have a huge list with all of the same ingredients. On the pricier side but many sushi places are catching up in price. Always make a reservation or at least call ahead to ensure you will be able to be sat in a reasonable amount of time as well.

“very good sushi option”
Reviewed 7 August 2011

Right on the lake with a great atmosphere. Waitresses were very sweet and attentive. We had the black seaweed starter- very good. Different! I didn't care for the iced green tea. Better hot. The portions of sushi are very large- they don't skimp. The quality of fish is also good- I wouldn't call it awesome but it's good. Don't pay for the king clam though- very expensive and nothing special. We ordered one special roll- I didn't care for it at all. All of their special rolls have tempura and lots of the mayo based sauced. Not my thing. My husband ate that bad boy. Overall, if you have at least $100 on hand, it is a good sushi option. Keep in mind it is extremely expensive.
