“Great place to take a break and get some good food. Home cooking. Homemade baked goods.”
Reviewed 28 September 2011

Heading south on rt 404 can be harrowing so I got off the highway and found Cindy's country store. From the outside it looks like an old renovated gas station without pumps. Inside it reminds you of a mom and pop store from days gone by. There is a refrigerated area with homemade cake slices, cup cakes, small cakes (about 4 pieces) and pies just about anything one could want. They have home made food that I have gotten it to go and warm up later such as pork chops, chicken and pesto, stuffed peppers and baked potatoes. A different special every day. Deli selections and salads are available. They have some liquor available for purchase and many store items such as vegetables and milk. Food and drink products only nothing like laundry soap. They open at 0730 and have breakfast options. A great place to stop and take a break there is a small area that is comfortable and friendly place to eat. Workers are friendly and helpful. Sometimes they have had excellent homemade pepper shooters. You need to check this out. It is unique. Oh yeah New York style cheesecake.

“We go here all the time - a regular place for very nice desserts”
Reviewed 2 September 2011

Since we live nearby, we do not often get the sandwiches or entrees, as we cook those at home. But, in order to (try) to keep pounds off, I don't cook desserts at home, but go to Cindy's to pick up sweets. That way I will eat one dessert and not more ;-)

Cindy's has a wonderful case featuring all kinds of desserts including the normal cupcakes and pies, cookies and fudge. But - they also regularly have desserts such as tiramisu and biscotti as well, and both are excellent. Given this area is quite rural, it is a wonderful thing to have Cindy's here. I believe the dessert chef actually spent many years in Baltimore as a pastry chef. If you are going to the beach, I encourage you to visit Cindy's for your beach food, snacks, and even more elegant desserts. They are literally right off the highway (on the side opposite McDonalds and across from Goose Creek). And, if you live here, please give them your business.

Their sandwiches are generous and fresh, and they have a variety of salads mixed and ready for sale. They also cater.

They also have very nice service, and are nice to their regular customers. On occasion it can get a little backed up at the deli counter, but that occurs infrequently. It's a pleasure to be greeted when you enter the store. We're so glad they are here.

“Surprisingly Nice”
Reviewed 13 June 2011

It was late, we were tired and hungry and stopped into Cindy's to grab whatever we might find and take it back to our hotel.
We were made to feel very welcome. And instead of just grabbing a pre- made snack , we were made delicious sandwiches with the freshest of ingredients. We sat at a little table and had an enjoyable meal. . When we were paying we realized it was closing time but we had not been rushed in any way. All three people we came in contact with were friendly as could be. What a nice surprise.
