There was so much traffic coming back from NY, we decided to stop and get a room. We've never stayed in a Choice Hotel before but sure glad we did! Place was spotless, rooms are big and clean. And the price was just as great. The only thing I'd say was to request a room opposite the industrial plant. There were trucks in and out all night. Other than that, we'd definitely stay there again!

We had the occasion to stay at the Comfort Suites, Elkton, MD on Tuesday, November 6 for a family funeral. We had tried to book this Comfort Suites last May for another family function and it was booked. We can see why. It is a wonderfully located hotel right off I-95 and a very neat & clean hotel too. Everything was spotless and sparkling. Amy at check-in was superb even though she was a little busy at the time. The hot breakfast was adequate and plentiful. The pool area was neat & clean & warm which is unusual for an indoor hotel pool! While it does not have a separate whirlpool, the lower end of the pool has jets and is very nice. The gym was quite nice too. All-in-all, we really don't have one complaint except perhaps for the slight noise of the trucks next door but I suspect you would not hear them at all if on a higher floor. Thank you for a pleasant stay even under a stressful situation. We will come back!

Room Tip: I would suggest a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor and perhaps even on the front of the building.

I stayed here twice in August 2012 while travelling to and from Virginia for a vacation, the room is very spacious with a seperate seating area, and a a spacious entrance into the room, the bed is huge and very comfortable, the breakfast was great but they didnt serve bacon :( sausages were so good though! Good location, close to highway, gas stations and places to eat are close, would definitely stay here again!

Stayed several times on business trips. Prefer this place to others in Newark because it is clean, quiet and has best rates for me as an independent contractor. Breakfast is better than most, with lots of choices including fruit. The breakfast attendant is quite hard-working and keeps the breakfast area spotless.

Rooms are good sized, mattresses are comfortable, lots of towels. Wi-Fi works fine. Very much like the practice of getting a completed invoice under the door day of checkout.

Recently stayed here for a girl's get-together weekend, with friends coming from up and down the east coast. The hotel itself is conveniently located, close to just about anything you would care to do or see in the area. Most important: it was very clean, very new in appearance, the beds were very comfy, and the rooms were very large. And very quiet during our stay. Downsides: Air conditioner didn't seem to work during the night despite the room being hot and stuffy during a very mild weekend. Many of the staff were not exactly smiling and friendly, but our basic needs were met. We requested that one of the rooms be charged one night on one credit card, and the other night on another card; however, despite assurance that this could be done, both nights were charged on the same card. Had to go to the front desk to get an extra roll of TP because a spare was not provided. NOT deal-breakers, for sure, but minor inconveniences. Free hot breakfast was pretty standard, with cereals, waffle makers, scrambled eggs, greasy sausage, etc. Also yogurt and hard boiled eggs. The fruit in the bowl was sub-standard; I threw away several moldy oranges as I picked through the fruit.

Room Tip: The coffee was pretty bad, but there's a 7-11 across the parking lot!

We booked a last minute overnight for the UD (University of Deleware) homecoming weekend. Although we were not in Newark, DE, this hotel is less than 3 miles to campus. It made for a quick trip to campus. The room was pleasant and seemed large for a hotel at this price point (King with pull-out sofa).

The pool was nice and the breakfast was good too. Wi-fi worked well while we were there.

Larger than average rooms, well appointed. Bathrooms have plenty of room and light, excellent shower/tub. Small refrigerator and microwave oven. Complementary bottled water. Hot breakfast including scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Courteous and helpful staff. Fairly new facility which provides a very enjoyable stay. Will return to this Comfort Inn anytime we're in the area.

Room Tip: Only entry is through the lobby with elevators adjacent. Very secure arrangement.
