“delicious bahn mi”

Delicious Bahn Mi, good service. From outside, this place looks like a typical office-park cafe, but there's serious goodness inside. Some of the best bahn mi I've had, and close to home, in a section of Howard County with nothing else of this sort.

The GF and I have repeatedly had the grilled pork and the lemongrass chicken, very delicious. The "coldcut" version isn't bad either. Recently they have introduced savory pastries also that are cheap and tasty.

The bahn mi are flavorful, crisp/fresh vegetables, on crusty fresh french bread. It takes a few minutes to make them after ordering (definitely tastes fresh too).

For the same price or cheaper than any chain sandwich shop, you can have delicious ethnic sandwiches (and get to explain to your incredulous friends what a "bahn mi" is). The owner is friendly even at closing time, and the food has been good every one of the dozen times we've been.

Have not tried any of the other food yet, just bahn mi and pastries.

Only complaint is the place closes on the earlyish side (5pm officially tho sometimes open later).

For a few pennies less than Potbelly or Quiznos or... you'll be supporting a local business, eating high quality food, and supporting something ethnic, unusual, and delicious. Highly recommended.

Finally a great cafe in Ellicott City that's not a chain. There's some argument over the bahn me, since they don't technically use "correct" bread, but try it and you'll be converted. Personally I'm a fan of the beef lemongrass sandwich rather than the traditional pork version.

They have plenty of other fare including salads and sandwiches, plus great drinks and smoothies. Surprisingly light on the baked goods. I've only been there for lunch, maybe they sell out at breakfast. You need to try the avocado smoothie, it's surprisingly good.

They do have Internet but you have to ask for the password. There are also a few plugs in the dining area. They're never super busy when I'm in, usually around lunch.

Keep in mind they close at 5 and they're not open on Sunday. Not sure about Saturday.
