“Il Porto, very good and growing...”
Reviewed 23 October 2011

Il Porto has expanded to meet the needs of its' loyal fans. The new part of the restaurant has a small bar area with a large TV and is beautifully done. It can accommodate parties and the ever-growing clientele that expect and receive consistently good service and food. Alberto and the staff are as welcoming and warm as ever. It's clear that they are proud of the work that has been put in to make this restaurant the neighborhood gem that it is.
p.s. DON'T forget to get the white pizza with fontina (and garlic). It can be enjoyed as an appetizer or as a meal. We always take hone home for the next day !

“Well rounded menu w/excellent seafood specials”
Reviewed 29 April 2011

Two Chianti wines are available by the glass. Skip the less expensive one and go for the Gabbiano. One of the entrees I like is the Suppe d' Peche or "fish" soup which is very Mediterranean, and my wife loves all the eggplant dishes. Two regular standbys are the spaghetti with green peppers and sausage, and the spaghetti carbonarra. Also like the Alfredo; with a smooth white sauce. The minestrone soup is a little thin, but acceptable. Try the Italian gelato in several flavors. Try the spumoni ice cream. I think they make great coffee and cappuccino. Bread is baked here In the restaurant, and they will sell you a loaf to take home. Servers are friendly and helpful all the time. Tables are bright and cheerful with fresh flowers daily.

“Moch better fod than the location suggests”
Reviewed 8 March 2011

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The best things to have are the blackboard specials. The veal chop with garlic and rosemary is outstanding as are the seafood pasts combinations. The prices for the quality of food are reasonable. It is often the place for large family dinners with three generation present.

Reviewed 7 August 2008

Food was good, but there wasn't much variety on the menu. The tomato sauce was pretty bland.
