Stayed here on the way to Philadelphia. I used rewards points and this Super 8 was actually impressive. The bedding, decor and furnishings are modern and look just like the online pics. The room was very clean. Breakfast was sparse but that was expected but it was a bonus that they have a waffle maker. My only complaint is that we arrived around 9:30pm and the a/c had not been turned on in our room so it was very hot and stuffy. I believe this is the first time I've ever checked into a hotel in the summer and the a/c was not on. Perhaps they do it to save money.... The pillows are really soft - like sleeping on a cotton ball - not ideal if you have sinus issues like myself. But other than that, it was a very nice stay and I would stay there again.
We stayed here over the weekend for the Havre de Grace Seafood Festival. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised overall with our stay. The rooms have been recently renovated, and contain pretty much all that you would require of a room in a "motel". If you expect the best, probably should look elsewhere because this is a "motel," in a quiet and historic town. It also offers accommodations for smokers, so if you are sensitive to that, again, look elsewhere. The staff were all polite and friendly and the room was very clean. Besides the occasional train in the background, it was very quiet and peaceful. I would stay again, but have found a few bed and breakfast's in the area that I would love to check out and experience, which by the way cost a lot more.
First room i was sent to was not made up.I arrived after 3pm.Second room 308 was to crowded.Bed had large headboard attached and it was hard to move around the bed.
This Super 8 should not be part of any motel chain, It was borderline on cleanliness, lacked an elevator (which meant we helped several seniors with luggage to negotiate flights of steps). The water pressure in the shower was minimal as was the so-called 'breakfast' . . . We went down to eat before 8 am and there were 2 Danish and 6 slices of stale bread, one dispenser of cereal and no sign of juice or anything like fruit or yogurt. Oh, and then there was the waffles, with one dirty cup to use to pour the watered down batter into and a dirty waffle iron to cook the batter - then the waffle stuck to the iron and the only way to get it off was to destroy the waffle. Even the snack machine was empty. The bathroom floor was sticky and, though the room have been redone, the rugs were dirty , there were holes in the blankets and not all of the outlets worked. And, if you wanted to sit outside, not only weren't there chairs, but three wasn't even a space to put one, Last comment, the girl at the front desk seemed bitter about being there, which is unprofessional for someone in the hospitality industry.
