I have eaten at Caseys at least 6 times now. I always go at lunch time and there is never a large crowd. They have a service counter where you order. Items are listed on a chalk board above your head. The menu consists of crabs, oysters, salmon, tuna, crab cakes and even lobster.
Sides are coleslaw, fries, hushpuppies and a few other things. They also have a few desserts made on the premises. Had a brownie with Reese's peanut butter cup inside, the other day. Over the top!
In fact all of the food is expertly prepared. the crab cake is fried, but expertly so. The outer coating is crisply and no oil is allowed to seep inside to mess up the lump crab meat. This is one of my best fried crab cakes ever. I usually get broiled, so when a place offers only fried I usually pass. Not the case here.
The place is small. It is a seafood market and you can buy fresh items to go. There is no alcoholic beverages, only soda juices and water. It reminds me of a northern lobsterpound type atmosphere with food served in baskets.
Got to look carefully, it is tucked next to a car mechanic and gas station on route 198 near Fort Meade and Laurel, MD.
This is not a fine dining place
