My family and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn for 2 days in July 2006. We arrived
around 3 p.m. (I believe check-in is 2 p.m.) and the clerk told us that they had
not yet cleaned the room. Since this hotel is at the entrance to a mall, we told
her we would go to the Mall for awhile and then return.
When we came back, the room had been cleaned.

We had the same problem on the second day. We had to go to a family
reunion and did not return to the room until 6 p.m. It had never been
cleaned. I went to the front desk and they said they would get housekeeping
to clean it. Again, we left for awhile and came back. It had been cleaned.

This particular hotel is a budget hotel. They do not have a pool, continental
breakfast or even a phone book in the room. They do have a microwave,
a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. They had a vending area with an
ice machine, snack machine and a soda machine. On the property is
Penny's Diner. We had breakfast there and the prices are very reasonable.
The prices ranged from $1.89 to $6.99 for breakfast entrees.

Overall, this hotel is not bad for the price if you have the patience to wait
for them to clean the room. Otherwise, it is probably best to stay somewhere
else.

Pet friendly hotel? Pet rooms were on the second floor, while the ground room floors went vacant. No maid service on second day, so I went down to get fresh towels and was told that I had to go back and get the soiled ones and bring them down. It was a towel for towel swap. That wasn't a problem but why should I have to bring them back down, thats what the staff is for. The light in the bathroom was burnt out resulting in showers in the dark. The doors weren't secured allowing anyone into the hotel. The diner is advertised as a 24hr restaurant not true either. They were the cheapest pet friendly place and now I know why. Next time I'll bring a tent and camp in the woods before I stay there.
