“Very nice stay for the money and for the area”
Reviewed 5 September 2006

We had a very comfortable stay at the Hampton Inn for a little over $100.00 with taxes. The breakfast was a really big and varied spread. It was pretty good. The room was pretty big. The linens were really nice and very white (so you know they are clean). The pillows were very fluffy and comfortable. We had also stayed at the Days Inn and these two hotels were like night and day with the difference in quality. If you have a choice when staying in Lexington Park, make this your spot.

This is a slightly better than normal Hampton Inn. There is nothing flashy or surprising. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are even larger. Everything is clean and in working order with one exception. The fitness room only offers one treadmill and it is out of order. Granted, the hotel offers passes to fitness centers in the area but for a quick walk -why should you have to go elsewhere?

The staff is friendly, the common area is much larger than normal, and the breakfast is typical (but a larger selection than some).

Overall – highly recommended. Fix the treadmill and buy another one or two!

Everything about this hotel was fantastic!! The lobby was spacious and beautiful. The room was immaculate. It even smelled fresh and clean when you walked in the door. The bathroom was larger than most hotel bathrooms. The towels were large and fluffy. The beds were comfortable. The sheets were clean and soft. The pillows were perfect. The breakfast was generous with hot and cold foods (waffles, sausage, biscuits, croissants, bagels, danishes, etc.) Two kinds of coffee (regular and bold) were fresh and delicious. The eating area was much larger than any other hotel I've stayed in. The staff was friendly and attentive. There were numerous 12 and 13 year old baseball players in the hotel and I didn't hear a peep! I can't say enough about this hotel. I would GLADLY stay at this hotel again.

This is where I stay when I visit Lexington Park. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn on Solomon's Island and the Fairfield Inn down the street from the Hampton, and neither compare at all. No water pressure at the Fairfield, and the Holiday Inn is old and breakfast isn't free. The Hampton is clean, large, quiet, very friendly, and almost elegant (for Lexington Park anyway!) The breakfast area is spacious and comfortable, with numerous couches, tables, and chairs. The only way they could make it better is if they had a waffle maker. I'll be staying again!

I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn, The Extended Stay and the Days Inn, I've even stayed over on Solomons at the HI Select (avoid!!) to try and find somewhere nice. It turns out I'd missed the best of the bunch - the Hampton Inn - until now.

The hotel has impressive one-bed suites featuring a separate bedroom, a nice lounge and a fridge/sink in the middle. I see this as the best of both worlds, you don't have the full kitchen that the Extended Stay offers, but you do have the facilities to keep beers cold if you want to stay in your room, relax and watch a game rather than going out to a bar. If you want a bar, then Damons is right outside the door. If you want a good restaurant but get bored of Damons, there's great Japanese (Asahi) and Chinese places within a 5 minute drive. There's an outside pool which looks nice but is of course closed in winter.

Breakfast is good, with continental every day plus a rotating selection of hot choices (sausage/egg/toast etc) as well as muffins, bagels and so on, served in a nice large area with plenty of space. If you're short of time, just grab a ready-made breakfast bag from the desk on your way past! All this for about $100 a night just can't be wrong.

In addition, the hotel had just been fitted out with Wi-Fi broadband internet access all over the hotel, and all FREE!

This is a pretty good hotel for the Lexington Park, Pax River area.
Hotel is very well maintained and clean. Hotel staff is courteous and service is about on par for the area. A good hotel for the business traveler. Would be nice if they had a phone on the desk or at least a phone jack on the wall by the desk. Continental breakfast is ok but eating area is large and uncrowded.
