This is a magical spot, right on the Chesapeake with water on two sides. From the dining room one almost feels like one is on a ship. Breakfast is gourmet quality- and an effort is made to source the food locally and ethically. I took kayaks out twice- part of what made the experience for me. Also spent a relaxing afternoon in a hammock and enjoyed walking the nature path. Hope to return.

Wades Point represents a nice compromise between a bed and breakfast, where one can feel a certain lack of privacy, and the impersonality of a big hotel. We enjoyed our main house room.

Beautiful, off the beaten path, large, well-maintained property on the point. The staff and owners were very pleasant and helpful. Their resident beagle, Lucy was always around to greet us. The large house has multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas and rocking chairs to enjoy the bay views and constant breezes. The majority of the guests were couples, and seniors. We were one of the few families with older children. Multiple quiet areas with hammocks, small seating areas, and lawn furniture. There is a wonderful walking/jogging path around the property, and Lucy was our companion for most of it. The staff provide you a map of it when you check in. I wish the fish were biting a bit better than they were, but the stripers did not disappoint us at the fishing pier. We kayaked to the right of the property in the sheltered coves(kayaks were provided free of charge) , and enjoyed numerous types of birds, deer, and wildlife. There were also bikes available to ride on or off property(free of charge). Due to the jellyfish invasion, we were unable to swim. We stayed in the Farmhouse. A small 2 story home in front of the main house. The room was clean and adequately sized for our needs. Nice quilts, metal framed beds, old world furnishings charm, and ours had an in-room bathroom- as some of the rooms did not. The breakfasts were delicious, served in the dining room overlooking the bay. There was always coffee and tea prior to 8:30am, then always local fresh made yogurt, granola and fresh fruit. Then either grits or oatmeal, and some form of egg dish or quiche. Croissants or biscuits. No one left hungry. The closest seafood eatery was about 2.5 miles away in McDaniel and had good food. The town of St. Michaels is about 7 miles away with a Maritime Museum, bay tour boat rides, and a Main Street lined with shops and eateries/bars/nightlife. I am glad we found such a gem on a Groupon deal.

Room Tip: No pool or beach. No gym other than free bikes and kayaks, walking/jogging path not a good choice...

I had an delightful stay in the main house. The view is amazing, everything is so relaxing and calm. The house keeper is extremely kind and will make you feel at home.
The room had the charm of the old style, which I loved, and the breakfast is home made and with local product.
Perfect stay, I deeply recommend.

We stayed in a first floor room in the Kemp House building for 2 nights. We enjoyed the convenience (mini fridge, coffeemaker), spaciousness of the room and bathroom, and easy walk to the waterfront and main building. The property looks just like their website - beautifully manicured grounds, flowers, hammocks, lounge chairs.... a wonderful spot for a getaway.

The main building has a beautiful breakfast room with a full wall of windows facing the Bay and a screened in porch with a number of rocking chairs as well as another table and chairs. The breakfast we had both mornings was the best we have had in ages. Each morning featured warm, home-made biscuit or muffins, fresh fruit, and a (baked) egg dish, as well as blueberry pancakes that were the best we have ever had! Granola, fresh orange juice and coffee completed the picture.

We had an easy 4 mile drive into St. Michaels each day, so we were able to enjoy the restaurants, shops, and public boat ride offerings, then retreat to the Inn.

The only caveat I would note is that due to the jellyfish in the Bay during the summer months, people do not go swimming (we had no idea). The Inn has several docks and ladders, and you can go in the water, but since my husband got stung by a jellyfish we never even saw until after the fact, I would not recommend it.

We would definitely return to Wades Point Inn!

Room Tip: I don't think there are elevators (?). We stayed in a first floor room in the newer Kemp House...

Beautiful quiet spot on the water away from the crowds. Great place to relax, read a book in a hammock. 5 minute drive to the restaurants in St. Michaels. Stayed in a second floor room in the newer building with a view of the water, large comfortable & clean room. Will return.

Visited here with a couple girlfriends for a birthday getaway and it was everything we hoped for. Relaxing hammocks by the water, bikes and kayaks available on site, comfortable rooms and the kindest staff. We loved being a few miles outside of town so the focus was on relaxing and enjoying each others' company. Have been recommending this to everyone I can since!

Room Tip: I called to ask which rooms would be best and the lady was very helpful with a recommendation. We go...

This place is great. It is all alone, out on a point overlooking the bay and Kent Island in the background. Large trees provide ample shade and nice breezes off the water. We stayed in the main building which is old but clean and updated. The breakfast was complete with egg casseroles, fresh blueberry pancakes, sausage, homemade biscuits, cereal, juice, and even "Scrapple!"

The owner and her daughter and all the help were so friendly and accomodating. It was real southern hospitality! You are well out of the St Michaels crush in a much slower pace.We had nice drives to Tilghman Island, just down the road, and over to Oxford (great ice cream shop) where we took the small car ferry to Bellvue.

We saw so many deer on the short road from the main highway to Wades Point, most every evening and early morning.

Sitting out under the big shade trees, was so relaxing. They have ice water and warm cookies in the main house for snacks in the afternoon, and hot coffee in the morning before breakfast.

I was up early one morning, sitting on a chase lounge under a big tree, looking at the crab boats out on the bay, and the lovely daughter brought me out a mug of coffee (she knew from the previous morning I drank it black!) Wow.... how nice can they be??

This place beats all the chains, and slick little conference centers and Inns all to pieces. True Character and Charm and the setting is only beat by the outstanding service and staff!

Room Tip: Main house has the most Character, the newer building is more modern and updated. It all depends on...
