First of all, the Hampton House is the OLD RED building--ask for that if you want to be in the old building. The white one next door is not it!! We stayed in unit H-2. It is a 2BR, 1 shared bath apartment w/ private porch directly on the boardwalk. Outstanding & relaxing time :).

Room Tip: You bring your paper products, towels, linens (ask them for more information) but you keep the place...

This was the ideal spot for a family beach trip. We were 10 feet from the beach (literally...10 feet!). Kitchen inside our room! Every morning we woke up, made scrambled eggs to start our day, and turkey sandwiches for an all day beach trip. The rides and ferris wheel are 4 blocks down...ice cream, t-shirts, postcards - anything you want walking distance. Perfect for a beach vacation that is not your standard hotel room. Adds character and comfort to a summer get away. We will be back for sure!

Every once in awhile I read a negative review about the Hampton/Lambros apartments and can't believe. It seems to me the writer doesn't understand that Hampton/Lambros style is what OC is all about. We've been coming here for our reunions for decades and will go nowhere else. Their high points are the Location, the patio and yes even the apartments. The facilities are great for our large group. We are well taken care of by this family owned and operated place. We had 36 people at our 2011 reunion. My only regret is that I don't want to over sell it because I want it to be available when we are ready to book our next ocean vacation. Yes, we will be back!

My family and I were really excited to stay in this location because from the website, the pictures were very nice and it looked like a nice place to stay. However, we did not know we would be in the other (unmentioned) building above sunsations. The room was absolutely desgusting. The shower was broken, the stove was rusty, the kitchen only fit one person at a time, and the whole front room was slanted! On top of that, the furniture was very old and outdated. We actually decided to leave because it seemed unbearable to live in for a whole week. When we left the manager told us there was an absolute no refund policy. We payed a lot of money for what we beleived would be nice amd lost it.

Our family has been staying at the Hampton House since the 50's. The location cannot be beat, close to the action yet far enough away from the noise. This historic inn allows for family vacationing, with small to medium to very large accommodations, whatever you need. Gus, Renee and Chad were always available and took care if every request and need we had. Oh yes, we will be back!

We came down last minute and stopped into this cute place on the boardwalk.
So glad we did!
They were so accomodating. My husband and I relaxed and enjoyed this special place. The hospitality was overwhelming. We'll never go any place else. What memories his place is filled with. Charming place to stay.
Lambros and Hampton House keep up the good work!

Our family has been having reunions here every summer for many years. We normally rent about three or four apartments for the week, which can easily fit our large family of twenty five. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had two rooms in the white building and two in the main house. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and were all decorated with that personal touch.
Our family has many kids so it was great to relax on the beach and watch them play. Since the hotel is so close to the beach, we could come back and eat lunch instead of bringing all of our food onto the beach.
There are so many acivities within walking distance so that each individual family could do what they wanted or group with others. There are boat rides with pirate themes and others that discuss the ecology and nature of the local area. Parasailing and jet skiing were available for the more adventurous of us.
At night we all went to the end of the boardwalk to the pier and the kids went on the rides and so did some of us adults. There are so many retaurants within walking distance that the whole family loved!
We are definately coming back next year and many more years to come!
