This is the second year we have stayed at the Spinnaker for the DelMarVa bike event, and once again we left pleased and ready to return. We were with a group and all the rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff is nothing short of wonderful. Forget the wireless internet...it just doesn't work, but who cared.

Room Tip: They are all basically good....the only distinctions we found were that the rooms on either side of...

For the low cost of the motel, I was VERY impressed by the how clean and quiet our room was. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for baths and showers. The staff was very helpful when we asked for advice on seafood and pizza places, and they were right. Only one of the two elevators was working, but there was someone trying to fix the broken one. And hey, we were on vacation so the extra wait didn't matter. The location put us on the quiet end of the boardwalk and while not oceanfront, we had a great view of the ocean from our balcony, and the motel was mere feet from the beach
We have stayed at more expensive places at OC, but this was by far the best experience we have ever had. We came home happy and relaxed. We're looking forward to going back next year and I will recommend the Spinnaker to friends and coworkers.

Room Tip: The higher numbered rooms have a better view of the ocean.

We were on a Martz Bus Tour and the Spinnaker is where we stayed for our 5 day vacation. Motel was good, pool was good, location was good, staff was very helpful and friendly; not really fancy, but it was clean and had all the necessities for a terrific stay.

Room Tip: All rooms have balconies.

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend, our second time here. Check in quick and easy, the rooms are very clean and the maid service is great. Great view of the beach even though not oceanfront. Pool was always clean and the deck is great. My daughter and I had lunch there that we got from the hotel's cafe. Had a great breakfast there as well, very nice staff! As for the WiFi don't know...ON VACATION!!! Whatever did people do without it?

This was our 3rd time at the Spinnaker, The hotel is not oceanfront but it is only a few steps from the beach. It is on 18th street about half way down the boardwalk which makes the downtown activities very accessible without the noise , confusion & congestion of the downtown. All rooms are efficiencies with complete (although small) kitchens. They will sleep up to 6 people but that would be pretty crowded. they have 2 full size beds (not queen) & a small sleeper sofa. The bathroom is small. The hotel is very clean & employees friendly. Parking is close & adequate. The only negatives: tiny bars of soap, weak wifi & small beds. All rooms have balconies with ocean view.

Room Tip: The closer the beach the better view & farther from the street noise.

Loved that this was a close to the boardwalk! Service was excellent. Only minor issues were that one side of the pool's entry/exit gate was difficult to open (you needed to stick your hand through the gate to un-latch it). And on the sun deck by the pool, workers were busy potting or removing huge planters - which I feel should have been completed earlier in the morning, before the families and sunbathers were out during peak hours. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Spinnaker.

Reasonably clean. Not sparkling, as prior reviews suggest, however better than average.
Comfortable size rooms and kitchenette. Full size fridge was welcome for our family of 4. Tiny microwave. Note that the maid service does not include doing dishes and there is no dishwasher. Dishes are melamine, drinking glasses are real glass. Poor quality towels, but no problem getting as many as needed. No shampoo / conditioner - no issue for me, but a tip for others.
Pleasant and helpfull staff.
Good side view from room 208.
Worst WiFi ever experienced, but we were successfully connecting to the free WiFI from Holiday Inn next door.
Althought only $1/day, there is additional fee for safety deposit box regardless if you use it (although you should!!!).
Nice location on boardwalk.
Paid $170/night+tax on Labour Day weekend via www.ocmotels.com
Reno the aged bathrooms and I would stay again.

I prefer the Hilton up the street - better cleanliness, dishwasher, ceramic dishes, big suite, but of course big price:(

Room Tip: Ask for room in building close to Holiday Inn&use their WiFi,Spinnaker's sucks(both are unse...
