We just had dinner at J&J and I was really in the mood for Italian so I Googled them and read the decent reviews. I was happy with the over all place, food service. My only gripe if any would be that they did not have an air conditioner on in the place. People, if you are going to have a restaurant, you MUST have your ac on for your customers because I can tell ya, if it's 100 degrees outside, your customers are going somewhere else to eat that's nice and cool.. But the pizza and everything else was great ..

Having Lived in Naples, Italy, the birthplace of pizza, we are always on the lookout for good pizza. To us, wood fired is the best (if not the only) way to go. We were heading out to Ocean City for a winter weekend getaway and we saw J&J’s sign that said “Wood Fired Pizza”, so we pulled in to give it a try. We love Buffalo wings and pizza, but not mixed together, so the menu gave us some concerns. The Margarita looked like the only traditional pizza. From the menu, it seemed like the pizzas would be thick crust, lots of sauce and toppings, and not the thin crust with more conservative toppings that work so well in a wood fire oven. We were also concerned that there was almost no one else there. We did see some folks come for take out, so that was a good sign. When the waiter came for our order, we asked some questions about the pizzas and found out that we could basically order it anyway we wanted. We love the Diavola pizzas, so we “built” a thin crust sausage and hot banana pepper pizza. For our second pizza, we ordered the spinach, goat cheese, garlic and tomato sauce pizza from the menu and said we would like thin crust for that as well. Both were excellent. The crust on the sausage and hot pepper was a bit better since the toppings were drier to start, but the spinach and goat cheese was a great combo. We ate half of each and saved the rest for later. Next time we are near Ocean City, we will be going to J&J’s and trying something new. Now we know that we don’t need to stick to the menu and that they probably have some things for toppings that don’t show up on the menu. We will just let them know what we are in the mood and have them make it.

We loved eating at J&J's Pizzeria. We knew we wanted italian but we were looking for a place that wouldn't be too expensive since there was 6 of us... This was a pleasant surprise...we ordered cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer and it had fresh garlic on it and and the marinara it was served with was clearly homemade. This was a special treat. The pizzas were made a brick oven and were crispy and delicious and so affordable!!! I also got a Caesar salad that was yummy ( someone else ordered the house salad and mine was the big hit)... one of our children ordered spaghetti and it came with a big meatball and way to much for her to eat (kids priced too) Service was amazing. Next door, was a fine dining italian restaurant and was owned by same family evidentally if you want more of a fancy italian meal. This was perfect for us though. The large pizza had 8 slices and was plenty for the four ladies that ate it... it was around $16 as I recall with pepperoni. Again, not a fancy place, but certainly delicious and a great place to eat if you want to escape some of the higher priced ocean city restaurants. It was CLEAN and like I said, had the family owned feel.

My wife and I are food nuts. We have had pizza in Naples Italy. We have tried to eat at places voted "Best Pizza" in different states and usually disappointed. We found J&J's on a rainy day camping at nearby Assateague Park. It blew our minds how good it was. Easily the best pizza we have ever had in the US. It should be a pilgrimage site for those seeking pizza nirvana.

We went here on our way out of town mid-afternoon. It was completely empty except us and the owner/cook. He made us salads that were basic but good and a fantastic Margarita pizza! He explained when we ordered that he made it authentically without sauce which was fine and very delicious! It was decently priced for the location and we had excellent service even though we were the only ones there.
