The sushi was just slighly above okay, but we were the only people in the entire restaurant! The drinks are also expensive - $15 for a mojito.

Food: At sushi - average on the rolls. Fabulous seafood salad, the best I've had, very fresh. YUM!
Price: typical sushi resto price.
Service: Much to be desired...hostess was a bit bossy - to assistant to sushi chef who was obviously learning. Need more sushi chef. Sushi chef need bell. Waitress need to learn to recognize sushi dish. I think there was some major learning curve...but to be expected as they are summer help from a foreign country not used to eating sushi. Did not try other foods as i spent $78.00 just on sushi. :-)

We've only been going to Yokozuna for the past three years. We typically stay across the street at the Sea Watch. The first time we went, we were totally blown away by the freshness of the sushi. We really don't know if they get their sushi from the catch there in OC, but it was breathtaking how much better their sushi was than just about anything we've had in the DC/Baltimore area. We're not necessarily sushi connoisseurs -- my 10 year old son just likes California rolls, one of my daughters likes the Seafood Tempura, my other daughter likes the Ebi (Shrimp), my wife gets the Sushi Combo, and I stick with Hamachi (Yellow Tail).

The service is always fast, professional and courteous. The prices are a bit on the high side, but the quality of the sushi is very good. Depending on what night you go, it might be packed with people waiting, or you may go in and only a few tables be filled. It all depends....

That said, you won't be sorry you went. Absolutely the best sushi in OC.

If you are in Ocean City and like Sushi, check out the daily all-you can eat sushi buffet at Yokozuna Restaraunt. Not a big fan of buffet style food, but this was well worth it. Basically, there were upwards of 20 different types of sushi all made fresh. They now offer this buffet every day between 12 and 3pm for 17 bucks per person. Only downer was that a beer was $6.50. Other than overpriced drinks, everything else was stellar and will definitely be returning.

The sushi/sashimi/rolls are the best here. While it can get expensive, the ingredients are so fresh you are surprised they don't swim to the table. The fare from the kitchen is just as excellent with everything cooked and seasoned perfectly.

Don't let the location throw you. It is worth every penny.
