Came with my partner on our first visit to OC. Like the decor and the friendly staff. Not fine dining but overall it met our expectations

My sister and I stopped in for a light supper the weekend after Memorial Day. We weren't in the mood for eating crabs...just something lighter. There are plenty of choices other than the "All You Can Eat" menu. The Maryland Crab Soup I had was delicious and the burger tasted of high quality beef. My sister's crab cake was good....of average size. The place had a casual atmosphere and our waiter was very attentive while also training a new person. We would definitely return and hope to try their steamed crabs.

So this little area of Ocean City, where Higgins North is located, is sort of the dead zone in Ocean City. We were staying on 120th street and it was harder than we thought it would be to find good places to eat within walking distance. A little further North or South would have been much more ideal, but hey! Live and learn. This brought us to Higgins North. It is pretty decent, and they have some craft beers which made me happy :). We sat at a picnic table outside covered in paper and pigged out on all-you-can-eat crabs, shrimp and ribs for $39.99 per person. They bring you out hush puppies on the house, and they bring you french fries and a piece of fried chicken with any all-you-can-eat; definitely to deter you from eating more seafood, of course. Then it was delicious crabs, shrimp, corn, and ribs! We only could eat about half of the food along with a pitcher of margaritas for $20 but it was all good. We tried to go to crab bag prior to this and found Higgins to be much more relaxed, comfortable, and laid back. Someone told us Leo's and when we got there it looked like a pizza joint…I am a huge fan of slumming it for the best cuisine around but we wanted something a little nicer on vaca and Higgins did just fine for a decent meal out. If you want the BEST seafood in OC, this is not it. But if you are in this area and looking for somewhere close I don't think you would be too disappointed.

Went to Higgins over the weekend because the Crab Bag was too full. We had seen good reviews for the other Higgins Crab House but did not notice how mixed the reviews were for here. The atmosphere was depressing at best, nearly empty. The staff was very dull and boring (did not seem happy to be there or to be helping) and the food was extra "meh". We did the all you can eat crabs (and ribs). The fried chicken that comes with the meal has a great coating to it, chicken was well cooked. Fries were soggy and cold. Ribs were fatty and not in the normal rack you have seen ribs come in before - very disfigured and bland - not recommended. The crabs were OK - did not seem very fresh and a good number of the them, maybe a third, had the "bad seafood taste" to them. I know there are better options in OC - try them first and come here only as a last resort.

We went to Higgins at this location after being unable to get crabs by the dozen at the Crab Bag.
It was our last night before going home the next day 8/31 and we wanted crabs. We asked for a sample of ribs and chicken and they were both terrible. Chicken was dry and both chicken and ribs had no taste. Very disappointing. The crabs were average in taste and comparable to the going rate for price and size. The service was excellent. I wish everything else we had was as good as the waiter. Would not be going back again. We have been to other crab houses and the chicken, etc have been very good to excellent. Not here.
